Stopped back in for a BBQ sandwich and a spare bun for leftovers from last night. Take out food just as good as dine in.

Service was slow and lacking, they were out of pork at 6:00. Meat lacked flavor but the sauces were good, had to ask for them and they were handed out sparingly. Tried all the meats they had available, best were the ribs and turkey.

Average barbeque for a premium price. Great name.

Great little bbq place in the mountains. Recommend stopping in and having some really good food.

Second time being here. Fast friendly service. They were able to accommodate a family of 9 with a dog immediately. Several choices on menu. Food is good

This hurts me to say it because I do really like the Peddlin' Pig, but dang the food was gross when I ordered takeout a few weeks ago. I'd only been to the one near Banner Elk, so maybe it was just this location? Or maybe it was just a bad day, but the pulled pork tacos were abysmal. They were extraordinarily greasy, under seasoned, flaccid... just plain disgusting. I honestly can't think of another word. My wife had the pulled pork tray and likewise, not good. It was dry and under seasoned. The hush puppies were about the only thing worth eating, but the sweet butter was separated and looked like it had fallen into the back of the fridge months ago and only just recently been rediscovered.

Honestly I'll probably give this place another shot having long been a customer of the other location, and generally a fan of theirs, but any other restaurant would not get the same courtesy.

Me and my family went out for dinner.. Straight up DISGUSTING! I ordered the turkey tacos and my fiancée ordered the ribs, brisket and spicy sausage. My tacos has no flavor, the turkey was dried out and the tortillas were hard. My fiancées ribs were very fatty. His brisket was not the best and he got mac n cheese for the side.. It tasted like chemicals!! 🤮 I tried one bite and was on the verge of getting sick. Everyone who we sat with, they ended up not feeling good. Not to mention our server avoided us the entire time, we waited 20 minutes just before we could even order. Horrible experience, don’t waste your time.

Four of us went for dinner last Thursday, two of us got sick. Culprit was the ribs. Most disappointing. Combo platter had brisket and sausage - sausage was good, brisket very fatty. Other plates ( pulled chicken and tacos) were fine, but uninspired. Definitely not on my list for my future Boone tourism dollars

After reading so many great reviews, we went expecting great food. Sadly, the food was awful! I’m not sure if people who are writing these reviews have ever had good BBQ, but this wasn’t it! Not to mention 2/3 of us got sick afterwards. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.. you’d be better off finding a Mission BBQ!

Food was outstanding. We had the pulled pork shoulder and full rack of ribs both dishes were perfect. Definitely going back.
