The smokehouse platter (ribs, brisket and spicy sauce) was delicious with their BBQ sauce, sides were so tasty and the kids even enjoyed their cheeseburgers along with the apple cobbler for dessert. We would definitely recommend and look forward to the next time we come back here!
Looked forward to eating here all week. Walked in at 7:50 on Friday night, Open sign was on, but we were informed they were closed. Won't get a second chance.

We had a great lunch at Pedalin’ Pig BBQ with our two kids, and the experience could not have been better. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual family meal, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Chance was our waiter and truly knocked it out of the park. He was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable, especially with kids at the table.
The ribs were recommended to us and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Extremely solid and full of flavor. Everything came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. The kids loved their meals, which is always a win, and we left feeling happy and satisfied. This is a spot we will definitely be coming back to again.

Disappointing BBQ Experience We were excited to try The Pedalin’ Pig during our visit to Banner Elk, as it’s a well-known spot for barbecue. Unfortunately, our meal fell short of expectations. The food arrived warm at best, not hot, which made it feel like it had been sitting out for a while. The meats lacked bold flavor—everything tasted bland and underwhelming, with nothing particularly special or standout about the preparation or seasoning. We ordered a meat platter expecting the usual BBQ accompaniments, but there was no bread (like buns, cornbread, or rolls) served with it, which felt like a missed basic for a barbecue restaurant. The sides were average, and while the service was friendly, the overall quality didn’t match the hype or prices. We left wishing we’d chosen elsewhere. Might be worth trying on a different day, but this visit was a letdown for us.
