We didn't have a plan for Sunday night, and Kim from Inn On Turner set us up with Beaufort Grocery. Our meal was delicious, and the Carrot cake was one of the biggest I'd seen. The humus plate was just the thing for me to save room for the cake.

Our server Timmy was the absolute greatest, the service was fantastic! The imagination and inspiration behind some of these sandwiches is wild, but it works so well. There was a huge lunch crowd for a weekday, and we learned why. We will definitely be back, and can’t wait to try the dinner menu.

Tried this place after hearing rave reviews. The shrimp and scallops dish lacked flavor and was a soggy mess. The shrimp were over cooked and the scallops were under cooked. My husband had the steak and while it was cooked a perfect medium rare, the seasoning used was very odd flavored and took away from the actual steak. It was also very very loud and hard to talk without yelling.

We had an amazing brunch. The service was great even with a trainee serving our table. Highly recommend.

Not sure what all the hype is about... We stopped in for lunch, had 2 sandwiches with water, and our bill was 55$ with tip. The sandwiches were good, but not 20$ good. So, if 20$ sandwiches are your jam, then this is your place!

Inside service: a noise level not to be believed. I don't have a decibel meter on my phone, but I'd estimate the level between a constant 85 and 95. Management might consider removing a few tables (there are more per square foot than in most restaurants of this caliber), spreading out the number of parties-of-6 or -8 accepted at the same time (there were 3 the Saturday we had lunch, each very loud and oblivious), or installing effective baffles (current attempts at baffles are pitiful). My husband and I had to yell across a small table for 2 near the front to be heard over the voices of those farther back. We couldn't wait to get out of there.
Outside service: an alternative if you wish flies in your food. The restaurant''s trash dumpsters are located just around the side of the building. The whirly things, designed to keep flies off food, do not work. So, one hand to hold your sandwich or your fork, the other hand to swat at flies throughout the meal. So, inside noise at unhealthy levels or outside flies.
Food: the crab meat sandwich (the fish special of the day) would have been excellent had the crab been cooked. It was practically raw. Our previous visits to BGC have been excellent; generally good food, if pricey for so fraught a dining experience.
Service: excellent. While I suspect that good help is very difficult to find these days, the staff rushes to keep up. They often look as if they are exhausted. BGC is trying to serve too many people in two small a space from a small kitchen.
Next time, we'll go on a Monday with hopes of fewer people and fewer large parties. And we'll ask that the crab be cooked.

Everything about this place was incredible. 10/10. The cordon chicken soup as a featured starter was so good I had to ask them for the recipe (didn’t get it). The flaming sagnaki and crab dip were phenomenal appetizers. Tried 3 entrees and they were all amazing. Every bite was a flavor bomb. Would eat here again and again. Go out of your way to eat here! You won’t regret it.

Stunned to learn the grouper wrap was $ 20. Price should have been on the chalkboard. Server didn't mention the price. When speaking with the manager she kept saying I do apologize. No comp was offered. Price should be mandatory. Spoke with the manager after posting this review and she said we don't put the price on the chalkboard. They used to. It appears good customer service is not important anymore. It is only market price if the price is given, otherwise it is market mystery. Came back a year later. Sat on patio that said it was open. Husband informed hostess of this and she said she was opening in 6 minutes. We waited 10 minutes after opening, husband went back and hostess said not serving the patio, so we went out front. Server gave specials, had to ask the price. Hostess seemed annoyed at the question and was not sure on the price on one item. Food is good, customer service is not. Prices should be posted on the sign.Sep.8, 2025 Sat on back patio and an employee saw us. No mention that, again, the patio was closed. We moved out front and watched people who came after be waited on first. No prices, again, on the board. Server became annoyed when we asked for prices. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food. When my husband placed a napkin on an adjoining table, the server became annoyed and removed it, stating it might require cleaning the table again. No concern for my empty salad bowl that was attracting flies for at least 10 minutes. No dessert menu, the peach blueberry cobbler we discovered after the fact was $12. Great food, abysmal customer service.

Awesome food, so many awesome decorations. Waitress was great too. Only It might have timing but it was very slow after like 50 min waiting to be seated took 50 to get food. Well but it worth it.

Had an 8:00 reservation and was seated promptly. Tables are very close together, too close for comfort. Service and server were great. Food is first rate. Beaufort Grocery is a must if you visit Beaufort.
