This will be our second time here. Our first experience I didn't write about because I wasn't writing reviews at that time. This time, however, I have started writing reviews for the places I eat at. The food was quite enjoyable. They have a wide variety of seafood dishes along with several turf dishes. We had the maple BBQ porkchops, stuffed softshell crabs, peel and eat shrimp, garlic parmesan clams, and steamed oysters, earl grey cremé brulee, and the strawberry key lime pie. Everything was enjoyable and delicious. We did find out if you ate the key lime pie without the strawberries, it was very tart. However, that dish was made with eating everything in one harmonious bite in mind.

Was there providing emergency medical rescue. Staff was kind food smelled good and the drinks even had a patron falling over in need of ems. Drinks are probably good value per alcohol.

Lived here for years and finally made it over to blackbeards while we had company visiting that loves fresh seafood so figured this was the spot to try. We were seated and waited on promptly. It’s a great menu with a lot of options. The bar menu is also impressive with local beers, wine and a wide variety of mixed drinks. We settled on an appetizer of stone crab claws and the pirate platter I think it was called with fried shrimp, fried mahi bites and a crab cake. You also get a choice of 2 sides. This is FRESH local seafood and you can tell. It’s pricey but I don’t mind it when it’s quality and quantity. Fresh garden lettuce garnishes all the dishes and even edible orchids. Got the earl grey brûlée for dessert since it sounded unique and it was absolutely divine. Top 3 best creme brûlées I’ve ever had. I’ve had ALOT. The vanilla bean in it was just so so good. Cudos to the chef here. This was the best meal I’ve had locally in a long time. Looking forward to our next visit. This will definitely be my new recommendation for those looking for the best seafood in the area.

Parking: Limited parking but at night other businesses are closed so you can park in their areas

Kid-friendliness: Open seating, not stuffy interior

A little out of the way for most vacationers, but you won't regret it! We discovered this place when Florence shut down a few of our favorite haunts, and it easily stayed on our list of "Must go." Fresh seafood, properly prepared every time. Make sure to get the Downeast Chowder, enjoy a fried platter, it's all wonderful and worth the price

Everything we had was very fresh, caught that day and beyond tasty.
The waitress was attentive and the special hot honey garlic speckled trout and red fish were to die for. And the same gentleman that owns the restaurant owns the fish market next door. All in all fantastic experience!
Every time I'm in town I will definitely be stopping back here.

The food was great, service was awesome and the prices were reasonable. The oysters were local harvested by the owners.

We always come back to Blackbeard's Grill. We love the local caught seafood. Waitstaff is always friendly. Didn't catch the young lady's name who seated us but, she is so sweet. Our waitress was great. Food was amazing. Hubby got blackbeards platter and I got crab cakes. Love this place!

Kid-friendliness: Also the table across from us had the cutest Lil man enjoying dinner with his parents. The waitress brought out a high chair for them. He looked like he was enjoying himself.

Called in order. Told it would be ready in 15 to 20 mins. Waited 20mins to pickup. Had to tell several employees what I was there for. Finally a lady on a crutch asked me. She waved her hand over her head and walked away. She came back and said follow me. I thought I have to get it rather than bringing it to me. She stood me in a corner of the rest. I have a bad back and leg. For 30 mins I stood there. People looking, walking by. Finally customers and employees started asking what I was doing. The lady on the crutch walked by me many times. Not one I'm sorry for the wait, it'll be just a little longer. Finally my back and patience could stand no more. I told the lady on the crutch I was leaving and why. She acted surprised and asked what it was I was waiting FOR! Don't know if I'm going back or not
