We loved Blackbeard! The food was delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller and Parmesan crusted oysters appetizers were great for sharing and very tasty. The fried shrimp and scallops were a nice size, not overly breaded, crispy, and delicious. The ahi tuna was absolutely incredible. If it is on special, I recommend ordering it. The seafood bisque is creamy, rich, and flavorful. Not pictured is the ribeye. It was seasoned, cooked, and seared perfect. A special shout out to Carol, our waitress for the fantastic service. She was very friendly offering great suggestions with the menu, our food was served hot, and our drinks were never empty.
I can’t name the number of times I’ve seen people recommend Blackbeards for one of the best meals in the area— and boy, they weren’t kidding! I’m honestly just disappointed that I didn’t follow through on the recommendation sooner. The food was absolutely delicious! We had four adults in our party and hands down we are all agree that it was the best flounder, shrimp, fried oysters, sweet potato casserole, and fried squash we have EVER had. The food came out fast, it was hot, and cooked to perfection. And to top off the experience, our waitress Carol was attentive, informative, and a pleasure to be served by. All of us will be back and SOON! If you’re looking for a place to get mouth watering, perfectly cooked, and fresh seafood with good service— look no further! This place is a gem!
Went on a Tuesday late afternoon and it was super busy (we had a reservation). Since you are in pirate country it’s not surprising that there is a well-done pirate theme. Plenty of seating and our server was great – really took care of us. Excellent local draft beer selection. The food is the star of the show here! We had the daily fresh fish special -s swordfish with collards and a yummy white sauce (outstanding!), Fried oysters and shrimp with sides of field peas and sweet potato casserole (excellent). We would definitely visit again!

The best seafood restaurant ever ! I travel a lot of work and I like to find hidden gems. Black beards is a hidden gem ! The best : Caesar salad dressing and crab cakes. The crab cakes were filled with crab and a very good sized portion. Not enough good words describe the food !

It was our first night in Beaufort. We came to Blackbeard's and SO GLAD we did. Right away we were greeted by a very nice hostess. We had steamed snow crab, sea scallops, clam chowder, Caesar salad and the seafood bisque. It was all PHENOMENAL. Carol, our server was BEYOND awesome. What a great 1st night dinner. We also took home chocolate cake and bread Pudding. Both DELICIOUS. This place has "made from scratch" menu items that you have to try.
This meal and service single handedly made me want to move to Beaufort NC. I will dream of this seafood. If you are in the area for a single night this is the place you need to go. Incredible. Could not recommend enough.
We went tonite sept 12 2023 and got the fried mushrooms they were not good so they were so strong with beer flavor it was like drinking a beer the popcorn shrimp were not popcorn shrimp and the mushrooms were not like they used to beParking: They need to improve how to get in there for people with disabilities

Great restaurant. We have bern going to Blackbeard's since they had the buffet. They no longer have the buffet, but the seafood is fantastic! My favorite seafood is the jumping mullet. Tonight, I order the shrimp. They were fresh caught in Marshallberg. They were amazing. Try the Pirate Punch, not for kids! The steaks and shore food are also good, but we go there for the seafood.
