A phenomenal dining experience! Everything from start to finish was so special. Amber was a fantastic server, so knowledgeable, warm and friendly. We enjoyed the grilled oysters and tomato tart to start, YUM! Then the fish of the day, scallops and ham pasta, desserts and ended our evening with espresso martinis. Such a memorable way to end our vacay, and such a stellar option for a local dinner spot!! Cannot recommend enough

All the dishes were awesome! Scallops, oysters, fried green tomatoes, tuna, shrimp/grits….topped off with beignets and chocolate cake. A must stop in Beaufort!

We had the best dinner here on a Monday night just after we settled into our BandB across the street! The tuna and tomato crudo appetizer was out of this world, as was the Grouper and the steaks. Service and ambiance, all top notch. We need to go back.

Excellent in every way. We had mixed drinks, burrata, filet mignon and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was perfect. If you want a delicious meal, this is where to go!

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Great atmosphere, service and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Lobster bisques was spectacular as was catch of the day and salads. Great place!

We enjoyed delicious Tile Fish and Scallop entrees with the artichoke appetizer. Service was excellent as well. Drinks were also wonderful and we will be back. Highly recommend.

Great experience, service from Amber was terrific. The trigger fish special was delicious. Overall they made it a great experience celebrating a birthday and an anniversary!

From the moment we came in the door until we left, this place was amazing. The hostess greeted us with a smile and seemed happy to be at work. Our server, Hannah also greeted us with a smile. She was friendly, helpful, but not overly so. Not annoying or too attentive, just right! The blood orange margarita special and the Tarheel old fashioned were perfectly balanced and tasty. We ordered the tomato tart, the trigger fish Oscar special, and filet mignon, which were all great! The dessert sampler stole the show. If you can't get the sampler, you must get the beignets. Thank you for a memorable and delicious experience!! We will be back!

Didn't eat dinner. Just stopped in for a drink on my birthday. Lanna ( might not have her name right) the bartender, was amazing. Not only was she friendly but made a great Cosmo. We will be back for dinner as soon as we visit the beach again this year.

We stayed in Beaufort for a long weekend. The first night we decided to pop into Blue Moon for a cocktail and appetizer. It was wonderful, and we ended up coming back for dinner later the same day. We came back each day of our trip actually! Seafood was fantastic, the oysters in particular. Cocktails were amazing too. But the service stole the show. Lara at the bar was so knowledgeable and personable. The entire staff seemed to remember us on each visit. 5 stars all the way around

We were vacationing in Beaufort, NC for the first time and spent the week asking around and doing our own research on the best places to eat. We tried several of the most popularly recommended spots — and while each had its strengths, none truly wowed us enough to want a repeat visit.

On our last night, with a few restaurants left on our list, we decided to let our 6-year-old pick. We gave her three options we hadn’t tried yet, and she chose Blue Moon Bistro — and thank goodness she did!

From the very first bite, it was clear this place was in a league of its own. The atmosphere was cozy and elevated without being stuffy, the service was warm and attentive, and every dish we tried was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Even our 6-year-old declared it was her favorite — and we all agreed: Blue Moon was, without question, the best meal of the trip.

I honestly can’t believe none of the locals we talked to mentioned Blue Moon. Maybe it’s intentional — a well-kept secret to keep the best restaurant in Beaufort from being overrun with tourists. If that’s the case… well played! But now that we’ve discovered it, it’ll be a must-visit for every future trip.

A true hidden gem — we only wish we had found it sooner so we could’ve gone twice!
