Crab cake was great off the hook. The fried shrimp was spot on and the best cocktail sauce I ever had. My wife had shrimp and bay scallops in a lobster-tarragon cream sauce over cavatalli that was delicious.

This was a excellent meal, I have to admit it was not our first choise, we were looking for a waterfront restaurant but were turned away because we did not have reservations. All I will say about that is we were glad. This place is amazing the food delicious. Try the swordfish chefs special. Enjoy🥂🍸

Disappointing lunch at Clawson’s 1905. Service was great, very friendly. Food was a letdown. Pimento BLT was average to start with, but the thick, unripe and hard tomato was inedible. We told the manager and he said he “could bring out different tomatoes, but you’re basically done with the sandwich“ What? I had to pull out the tomato, which is a key component of a BLT, and since there was only one slice of bacon on it, basically ate half of a mushy pimento cheese sandwich. No, you offer a new sandwich or remove it from the bill. Neither was done. Ridiculous. The fish and chips were OK, but the oily fish was resting on top of the chips so they were all oily. Better places to eat in the area.

As an older woman, I find it’s pretty rare to be satisfied with service from the younger generation of workers, especially in the food industry. But yesterday my experience at Clawson’s swayed my opinion! We went on August 6th at around 6:15-30, and, although the food was enjoyable, the best part of the entire night had to be our hostesses. I wish I knew their names so I could detail this review a bit more, but I only know that they were both blonde and definitely teenagers. They were both so kind and made the experience so welcoming- which I appreciate as someone new to the area- and made sure we had no questions or confusions. The shorter one especially deserves a shoutout. It was not very busy but it was decently occupied, and she kept her head while helping so many other parties. She seemed to be so prepared and fit for the position she is in and I have no doubt that her as well as her buddy are going to do amazing later in life! I never write reviews, but I really had to for this occasion.

Large family ate there last night and 6 of 16 people got seriously sick. I won’t pretend to understand the difficulty of managing a restaurant or handling large groups. That’s exactly why I outsourced the challenge to Clawson’s. Next time, I’ll have to either cook myself or choose a place that takes food safety more seriously.

Attentive staff, historic surrounds, and tasteful food. Great experience all around. The crab cakes were just right, not too dry or moist, the mahi was just as tasty. The mud pie for desert topped off a terrif culinary experience.
