My wife and I at here on a recommendation. I wish I would have read the reviews before. First the service, the place only had 3 tables with people at them and a group of servers sitting on a couch by the entrance, this should have been my first clue. Things only got worse from there. The servers actually forgot we were there, I had to ask if I could order. We had a shrimp cocktail, for an area known for their shrimp you would think they would use fresh shrimp, nope we got grocery store frozen shrimp. Fried oysters were gross, the sides were either from a can or box. There are much better places in the area for the same price, do yourself a favor and choose another place where the food and service are a lot better. Hard pass of ever going there again.

Good food, nice staff. The location is fabulous, you can watch boats as they go up and down the river

The food was acceptable. The loaded nachos were great. The seared, blackened tuna was certainly rare as described but not especially blackened. It was nice being waterside. Our server was pretty weak

The food was not acceptable. The fries and flounder was soggy. The Mac n cheese and green beans had no flavor. Definitely not the same quality of food I have had over the past 6 years.

Refused to serve our party despite articulating that we were 3 separate groups of 5. We advised wait staff that we were willing to be served as individual tables with 3 separate checks. We advised that we were willing to wait patiently for our orders with the understanding that service would be varied in servers and prep time. We were then asked to leave after seating ourselves. This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a restaurant for negative reasons. The way we were treated at Dockhouse was beyond unacceptable. Please do not give this business your hard earned money.

Right on Taylor Creek at Beaufort. Watch the boats and yachts while you eat on deck or inside.

We were asked to go to the 3rd floor.
40 minutes and no one comes even though staff definitely knew we were waiting.
We left and had an excellent meal across the street.

I think we caught them on a bad night. They were short on waiters. My flounder wasn’t good at all. But the atmosphere was great. Right on the dock.

Dock House has the prime Beaufort location and could be the best spot in town and make buckets of money. Instead, every time you walk by, there’s a new sign with a new rule. Only upstairs is open, only downstairs is open, wait here, come upstairs, drinks only, everyone in your party must buy a meal, locals only, we’ll get to you when we can, etc. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s terrible. It’s like customers are an inconvenience. If the owners aren’t interested in making money, please sell to someone that is so the people can enjoy the best location on the waterfront.
