Lame tourist trap. Expensive and unimpressive cocktails.

Grilled Pimento cheese and bacon sandwich was delicious. Same for the Cobb salad. The unsweetened iced tea was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent. Beautiful view over the water

We were a bit hesitant when we saw the limited lunch menu available on the covered porch as we were there at 2. But I would go back today and order the exact same thing! The Jamaican wings had the best flavor and were crispy. Their ranch and blue cheese was thick and on point and must be homemade. The grilled pimento cheese w bacon was so rich and creamy on delicious nutty bread. For my side I had the cucumber salad which had onions and peppers in a vinaigrette and was perfect to cut the richness of the pimento cheese. It was such a good combination! I did not get a picture of the shrimp tacos my friend had but she said they were delicious too.

Ate here with a group of 5 and not just one but all of us got immediately sick. Makes us wonder what they got going on in the kitchen. Will not ever go again!!!

We completely enjoyed our experience at Front Street Grill. The wife and I and our pooch came for Sunday Brunch on the outdoor deck. Long, relaxing story short... Josh, our waiter, treated us like regulars (we're definitely out-of-towners). Bloody Mary was simple and delicious. My Brunch Burger was absolutely perfectly cooked (med rare) and completely delicious!! And the wife had a solid bacon Benedict, if maybe a little light on the hollandaise (order extra). And a definite high-point...their deck is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze, sunshine, and the beautiful view of the cancel and the boats. We loved the food, the drink, and the spot. Awesome service. And even the dog gave us a wag of approval. Looking for the perfect Sunday morning? Ease on into Front Street Grill. Thank me later.

Wonderful afternoon at Rhum bar! Enjoyed some tasty appetizers and a cocktail! The porch is dog friendly! Staff is very gracious and kind! The people in the bar area outside were fun.

Staff are the best! Friendly, outgoing, and informative.Food - not so much. I ordered grouper bites - extremely greasy and the accompanying pepper mayonnaise was pretty gross. My friend ordered shrimp and grits. Bill Neal is rolling in his grave to see that this restaurant added green/red peppers to his signature recipe. The classic - with green onions, garlic, and lemon enhances the fresh shrimp flavor. The peppers masked the freshness and overwhelmed the dish.

Usually the best place for late lunch- drinks were great! But the hostess and service front of the house the worst service we have ever had there! Walked in told come back in 10 mins they are not taking a wait anymore. I asked so we can’t eat here? Response oh no you can we are just changing menu.-? thought why would you basically tell us to leave when the outside is great and we can sit and order a drink and wait- so we did and I asked do I need to go on the new menu wait for a table? She said no’ we will let you know-As my father 83 who has never been there sat at an outside table and was told he couldn’t so I explained she said she would let us know- sit down by the water-Mind you it was only three minutes till menu change- walk back to the hostess and it’s now 20 mins later and I ask how much longer? She says- oh’ at 2:30 you can just pick any table- my response- well why didn’t you tell us that I’m the beginning - as my father was told he could not sit at a table and I waited 20 mins to take them there and wait bc I was told you would let us know!At this time no tables now available at all!Sucks! Be a long time before I take anyone back there! Don’t recommend- hostess was rude and didn’t care! I spoke to the manager and she had nothing to say to me about the service! Said sorry for your experience- Didn’t even offer to get us a table! Been going there 20 years and bringing people there as they come to visit with my Airbnb’s, personal friends, or for fishing tournaments- we left and had much better service at local place called Finz!

Passing though and decided to stop for lunch . It was a beautiful location on the water and served seafood , which is what we were looking for. It was a little before noon , got seated promptly, menus and water were poured. There were only several other table with patrons at it. I checked out the menu and decided on the pan seared grouper cake - creole remoulade, lettuce, tomato on a fresh brioche roll, and a side of fries. And we ordered the fried flounder banh mi special with fries. I was sadly told that they did not have the grouper cake it was a crab cake . So I said ok , I'll try that. While we waited for our lunch the restaurant started to fill up. Service was prompt , our sandwiches arrived fairly fast. The crab cake was definitely not worth it . Absolutely no lump crab , just shreds of crab - it had little taste - not seasoned at all not even old bay . It was slightly greasy too . The remoulade was poor at best - no depth of flavor , no spice , very bland. The fries were surprisingly good , nice and crisp . Never thought of sprinkling parsley over the top - a NFG- non functional garnish . The fried flounder was tasty , well cooked and mildly seasoned , same comment for the remoulade on it - bland . It had an asian slaw on it that provided a crunch factor. Glad we went early , when we got the bill , I was surprised that the crab cake was $3.00 more than the grouper cake . Not at all worth it . And not even told when I ordered it . Next time in passing though we will try another restaurant.

I've visited this restaurant and bar three times since 9/24/23. Love the atmosphere and the sunset views. Very popular busy place! I was there Friday 10/27 with three friends, bought a round of drinks at the bar. Paid the tab with my debit card and closed it. Or so I thought. Then we were seated for dinner and again I paid my tab with the same card. Regrettably I left my credit card at home so I was using my debit bank card. I have receipts from each of these transactions. However my debit card was charged twice for charges I DID NOT make in two separate amounts of $110 and $151. I went back to the restaurant in person on 10/28 and again on 10/29 to speak to a manager. Was told Joel wasn't available and to call back at 11am. I called several other times over the course of two days, the manager was unavailable each time. My call was returned once by a hostess on 10/28. Asking for more information which I gave. I was finally able to speak to an assistant manager Shannon by phone on 10/29. She was very polite but also said the general manager Joel had to be the person to reverse any charges. Shannon assured me he would call me back that day or at least by 10/30. I haven't received a phone call yet. The restaurant is closed today and was closed yesterday. So I've had no choice but to block my card at this point. My bank will take care of the charges I didn't authorize, but what an unnecessary pain! Terrible customer service. All I wanted was to speak to a manager who could assist me. Over the course of three days the manager didn't not make the time to return a call or even answer a call. I would advise paying with cash or a credit card only! And check your statements and accounts! Because someone working the bar area or the wait staff isn't paying attention to which customer's card they are swiping when closing out. And the general manager is too busy to return a call.

Casual, friendly, delicious food, beautiful sunset from the decks outside it was great! The grouper bites are an appetizer but COULD be a main course for most people and they were delicious!! A local clued me in on this place and that dish in particular and I am so glad they did. I had the flounder as the main course - fresh and delicious!

Got a period of time 10 or 12 years ago we had family in the area and traveled here frequently. We frequented Beaufort and the Front Street Grill many times. Today we made a special trip from the New Bern area to enjoy lunch at the Front Street Grill again. There have been some changes in the town and the layout of the restaurant as could be expected. We read the menus posted outside and inquired about outside seating. Told it would be only a 30 minute wait we were glad to enjoy the beautiful day outside. 50 minutes later the pager summoned us back. We were shown to our “outside” seating, a table in the very noisy bar area, where we could look out the window of door at the outside seating….. We were handed a single sheet “Brunch” menu that had absolutely nothing on it that I was interested in. I asked about the Lunch menu and was told that on Sunday only the Brunch menu was served. On my way out the door I looked for, and did not see, any notice of a limited menu being served. Overall a big disappointment and a waste of an hours of our time. All change is not progress. I will not bother to return or recommend.

Fantastic atmosphere, stunning views, happy vibes, great food, and incredible drinks. The Rhum Bar has the best painkillers in Beaufort. Definitely order the level 2 to cut the sweetness…. You will leave with no pain as promised ?. The staff is super friendly. The grouper bites, burgers, and fish tacos are always a good choice. This is one of our favorite Beaufort places to hang out whether it is to go grab a bite to eat or have a cocktail to watch the sunset.
