Unfortunately this very good restaurant closed with no notice a few days ago. The message on their Facebook page seems final. It is closed permanently. Quite a loss for Beech Mountain.

Stopped by Rascal’s for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely delicious! My burger was the best I’ve ever eaten. It was cooked exactly as I had requested and the flavor was incredible. My wife enjoyed her crab cake as it was full of crab meat and not overly seasoned. The fries that came with both sandwiches were great too. For dessert we shared a large slice of chocolate mousse cake … yummo! Although understaffed, the servers were quite attentive. I...

A lot of stuff was closed in the between ski/summer season, but we saw an open sign for Rascals and TripAdvisor didn't hate it, so we took a flier. Walked in - no reservation (didn't figure this would be a problem because nobody is up there now) and it wasn't. Got moved to the bar area for seating and got the bartender as our waiter. allow me to digress here... If you are a decent dining establishment, I don't care how short staffed you are. Please stop doing...
