We have stayed at River Forest Manor several times and our favorite room is over the marina. The scenery is so beautiful with the boats and water. We have also stayed in Queen Ann’s Lace a few times.
I grew up in the area many years ago and went to all twelve years of school at John A. Wilkinson in Belhaven. It seems quite appropriate to stay where my school’s namesake built his home more than a hundred years ago.
Whenever we visit, members of my family who still live in the surrounding area gather and we enjoy the beautiful, spacious veranda of the manor.
Henry Boyd has become a good friend over the years. Hopefully we can continue to visit for years to come.

Henry, the Marina Manager very helpful and kind. We so enjoyed our stay despite some windy days. A cute town and nice to have golf carts for boaters at the Marina to get around town and buy their provisions. We thank Henry and his staff for all their courtesy while here. They were the best staff ever!
