We have stayed at River Forest Manor several times and our favorite room is over the marina. The scenery is so beautiful with the boats and water. We have also stayed in Queen Ann’s Lace a few times.
I grew up in the area many years ago and went to all twelve years of school at John A. Wilkinson in Belhaven. It seems quite appropriate to stay where my school’s namesake built his home more than a hundred years ago.

Henry, the Marina Manager very helpful and kind. We so enjoyed our stay despite some windy days. A cute town and nice to have golf carts for boaters at the Marina to get around town and buy their provisions. We thank Henry and his staff for all their courtesy while here. They are on to something there! We had brunch…. And yes Jeremy, those are the best grits I’ve ever had! Sit anywhere in that building WHO thought of that?You are from another planet! Incredible food and the staff won’t quit till they make you feel like you’re at home. I didn’t want to leave after I had eaten.Thanks Larry and Gina and staff for all your hard work.Parking: Plenty!
