I went through the drive through one evening to get a chicken finger basket combo for my mother and a cheesesteak combo. We waited at the window, so I expected the food to be fresh. The chicken strips were completely inedible. They were dry, burnt and rubbery like they were reheated out of the waste bin or something. I don’t have a picture of the cheesesteak. It looked fine, but tasted like a dog food sandwich. I tried to contact hwy55 twice with my concerns with no response . This food isn’t cheap, and for this to be acceptable quality is ridiculous.

Stopped by expecting your usual fast food (aka I was ready to be kind of disappointed) and was wowed by a really great burger— and very affordable too! Hot, fresh, delicious, great customer service, clean facilities… what more could you ask for? SO good!

07/26/2025, 5:30 PM Pulled into Hwy 55 in Benson expecting a regular burger stop and left feeling like I had just been personally adopted by the nicest drive-thru server in North Carolina. I don’t know what kind of Southern hospitality training program they run over there, but someone give that drive-thru employee a raise and possibly a parade.
10/10 would detour off I-95 just to feel this joy again.
PS: If you’re reading this, amazing drive-thru person, you’re a national treasure and I hope your coffee is always hot and your playlist never skips. Thanks for the ranch.

I don’t know why, but I found there was a teeny tiny hair on every single french fry. This has happened to me here and Five guys. If y’all are getting fries, just keep an eye out for hairs. I understand if one fry has a hair, but it was literally every single fry which has me think It could be where They’re getting their oil from

This is a great fast food restaurant. I had a shrimp plate, tater tots, slaw, tea, and a chocolate shake. There was plenty of shrimp, and the rest was outstanding! The oldies were playing, and the 2 employees who waited on me were very attentive and pleasant. I'll always stop by when traveling in the Benson area.

Three of us went in for burgers. I wanted a shake. The waitress seemed great initially, but quickly proceeded to forget about our shake, the side salad we ordered, and checking in on us. The service just went downhill from there. Staff was friendly enough, but the burgers barely fit on the buns and when we finally did get our side salad it was barely a side.
If you're going to eat here just keep in mind that it's mostly teenagers and service isn't their priority.
