The atmosphere is friendly and immediately comfortable. The service is on par with what you’d expect at a fancy place in Wilmington but without the stiffness. The food is amazing! This is a place you can come and have a good hearty meal and truly feel like you were just at the auntie’s house getting fed without being overwhelmed. The owners are just the nicest people, too! I cannot leave that out.
After eating here a couple of times I can say the selection is hit or miss. It is nice to have a local seafood spot to enjoy on occasion and I now have a better idea of what to get when we go. I have enjoyed the oysters, flounder and stuffed crab. The shrimp is good and the sides for the most part are acceptable. The okra tonight was clumped with some being over fried and some with clumped breading under cooked. The hushpuppies can be great or like tonight burnt. The scallops...
