Went back.this.year after not.going for a few years. The prices are outrageous especially to.ride and see lights. They also tell you no pics during that time. So you pay 15 a person and cannot take a picture. Can you imagine a family of perhaps 5. over a 100 bucks to.see lights. That's ridiculous! Tried their 9 layer cake and it was nearly 4 bucks for a Slice got.home and it was gritty and not good. Its sad families are already struggling and they can't even afford to.go.see lights. I can tell the line was nothing like it used to be in previous years.
Go there at least once a week. I'm never disappointed
Great Christmas light display. Well go again next year!
Great experience!
Very nice big place with hay rides to see the Christmas lights
The restaurant was fried chicken and not bad
We love coming to the hayride! 3 years in a row great food and atmosphere.
Love this place
Annual holiday tradition. We go a couple times every december, biggest advice when they accept reservations for Christmas typically at the beginning of september. You need to get online immediately right when it starts As soon as they open reservations sell out extremely fast. I'm talking within the first thirty minutes or so. The food is so so, i would equate it too k f c quality but you're not really going here for the meal you're going for the experience, and the very good light show / hay ride. Overall, I highly recommend it, like I said it's a holiday tradition for us. We've been going for the past five years or so.
Mike’s Farm has the best pies in Eastern NC. The Christmas Hayrides have been a staple for my family for over 20 years. Awesome place.
I was awarded little disappointed with the mac and cheese, but it's probably because everyone talks it up so much. I mostly enjoyed the food though.

The food was fantastic, the lights were amazing, it was a sight just to see my 2, and 3 year old son and daughter be amazed and the excitement that enveloped them. However, if you go with a large group, make sure to plan ahead...our group was like trying to herd cats...people disappeared without saying anything, and others would be left behind after the group knew they were going to get something. Next time I go, it's going to be just a small group, possibly just the littles, my wife, and I. Definitely recommend!
They have the best food and fast delivery keep the good work
Mike's farm has a great tractor show every year.
I went to the Christmas dinner show with my daughter on Saturday night. We arrived just in time for the dinner to begin and we were seated in the very last seats on the far left table (it is assigned seating just fyi). A pitcher of water and sweet tea was on the table. I am a diabetic and would have liked to have had something besides water to drink but didn’t have a server come to our end of the table until after we had our food so I didn’t bother to ask. Dinner is a buffet. To be honest, the food is mediocre at best and was just barely warm. As others have commented, the mac and cheese is good and I liked the green beans but other than that nothing was especially tasty. The mashed potatoes were so runny that I’m assuming they were instant potatoes. The country ham biscuits were so disappointing ….the ham was tough and the biscuit was cold and crunchy. They don’t put salt and pepper on the tables so you have to use the salt and pepper shakers that are at the end of the buffet. The desserts consisted of a chocolate cake with a THIN layer of peppermint icing. The other dessert was a cheesecake and I’m guessing it’s the recipe off of the Philadelphia cream cheese box and they had a little bowl of cherry topping that you could add to it. Overall the food is very cheaply done and just not well prepared.
The entertainment was enjoyable but understand that the show just isn’t for young kids. The songs they sing and the comedy isn’t something that will hold their interest.
After the show we decided not to do the hayride because it was very cold and we didn’t have a blanket. I did notice that some people had brought blankets with them so my suggestion would be to make sure you take some with you if it’s a cool or colder night.
We love the christmas wagon ride we go every year. This year we rented the whole wagon and had a wonderful family event .
