Huge shoutout to Jenn! She took amazing care of our party of 19 and made it look easy. Great attitude, great service, and kept everything running smoothly.
She also wanted me to say she’s better than Ashley 😜
Great food, the BEST macaroni and cheese you'll ever eat in your LIFEEE!! Wait times are not TOO bad during off peak season times. There's a fireplace outside to keep you warm while you wait IF you don't want to wait inside. You can also browse around the 2 shops while you wait or a petting zoo type section where you can feed farm animals. They have an intercom system, so no matter where u are, you can hear when they call your table.
We went after Christmas and did the dinner/hayride combo—our first time at Mike’s for Christmas. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The meats were very dry, and the potatoes tasted like instant. We went because of the hype, and it didn’t come close to meeting expectations.
The lights at the beginning were lovely and felt seasonally appropriate, but it got very strange when the Christmas lights turned into a political statement. The moment where we were asked to stand for the pledge made about half of our wagon visibly uncomfortable. The whole America section felt out of place and awkward.
We won’t be back for the food or Christmas experience—but we will absolutely return for the free animals. Hands down the best part of the visit.
We arrived and found a good amount of parking spaces and handicap parking. If you follow the entrance signs they will guide you to all of the parking areas.
Important Note: The entrance and exit roads are one-way. So, when leaving, be sure to follow the exit-signs.
We ate in their family style restaurant with well placed rest rooms. Staff was friendly, food kept coming with a dessert at the end. Our visit was very relaxing.
My elderly mother-in-law was in a wheelchair this year. Good access for her to sit at our table. Later, after the meal, when we got to the hayride entrance area, the gentleman in charge called over several other co-workers. They carefully and gently got my mother-in-law onto the hayride safe and secure. I appreciate their attentive care before and after.
Hayride in cooler / cold weather: Bring several stadium blankets to sit on and to cover up. Bring gloves, shaw, scarf and a hat or tobbagan or beanie. It is better to have cold weather protection and not need than to need and not have! When each hayrides is loaded they go to a holding area to allow space so that one ride is not encroaching on another ride.
There is a store to peruze through before or after your ride.
Restrooms: Imagine your back is to the hayride, standing on your left is the restaurant and on the right is the barnshaped store. There is a covered exterior walkway attached to the store that leads down to the entrance doors to the vestibule for the restrooms. The restrooms are spacious and very clean.
Had a great time! My grandson loves the lights! He gets so excited!

Hayride and pumpkin patch was goated
We had a very good time visiting the farm today. There was a LOT going on: tractor show, wedding, hayrides, pumpkin patch, restaurant, animals, etc. We ate at the restaurant for the very first time. Three of us thought the food was really good and one thought it was just okay. The mac and cheese was the best I've ever had! Being a senior, it was $17.99 per person to eat family style. Our waitress was Kathy, and she was fantastic. The hayride to the pumpkin patch was $3 per person, and then you picked a pumpkin (if you wanted one) and paid per weight or per type chosen. There were animals to look at and feed if you chose to do so. Very nice shop with a wine bar and North Carolina products to purchase.
Its a bit of a ride but the food is worth it!
We had a group of 14 so reservation is definitely recommended!
We sat within 10 minutes of that reservation.
From the ham biscuits to dessert, EVERYTHING was delicious!
I ate until I felt miserable but still wanted more cheesecake!
We walked around and fed the animals to let dinner settle before the ride home.
They really move people in and out quickly without rushing and there are usually no surprises.
