Sid's BBQ & Catering is a fantastic place for great, old school Eastern North Carolina BBQ. Open on Saturdays only, it often has a line of cars. Customers drive up to order and pay, then receive their food handed to them. The very good and clean barbecue comes from whole pigs cooked over coals, served chopped with no gristle and a piece of crispy skin. The BBQ chicken, both white and dark meat, is also delicious. Meals include fantastic, refreshing slaw and hushpuppies. The systems are efficient, the staff is friendly, and there is room to park and seating to eat. Be sure to come early and bring cash.
