Fabulous service and food was terrific Waitress very helpful. Had grouper Reuben that was delicious . Very nice outdoor patio
We were in Black Mountain for a family reunion & were looking for a restaurant that could handle a large group. I contacted the Black Mountain Bistro & made a reservation. We were seated in separate room with a large table - unexpected but so nice! The staff were wonderful & the food was delicious! Try the hamburger with pimento cheese & fried green tomato - so good!
The service was slow even though it wasn’t crowded. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was greasy and the fries were cold. My wife had what was supposed to be crab cakes but it had no flavor. There is a great pizza place nearby that I would recommend
We enjoyed our dinner at Black Mountain Bistro. We both had the turkey and dressing, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is charming, with plenty of outdoor seating and some views of the mountains.
Great atmosphere outside or inside is inviting and very tasty food. The butter pecan cake is delicious. Goat cheese wrap and fish /chips are good. Berry salad is a favorite.
Excellent food!! Excellent prices! Excellent service! HOMEMADE DESSERTS!!! I highly recommend this restaurant! I would highly recommend Bistro in Black Mountain NC!
Had a lovely experience in a tourist trap of a city. After trying to beat massive crowds, nonexistent parking and 100+degree heat found this gem of a restaurant. I wouldn’t come to Black Mountain for Black Mountain, but I’d come again for the Black Mountain Bistro. The service was attentive even though the server was very busy. Food also was very good. The 13-year-old I was with got a burger with goat cheese, I got a vegetarian flatbread and my mother got a pimento cheese sandwich. We all loved our food. Portions were large but not ridiculous, but as we were very hungry, it was OK. Cool atmosphere and vibe, and lots of seating indoors and out. Definitely recommend stopping by this place. It’s worth it.
This is our 2nd visit to Black Mountain Bistro in the last 2 months and both experiences were 5/5. The patio is dog-friendly and the servers are as well. (Chef was happy to cook a chicken breast or burger for our 80.lb Golden Doodle.) The menu has a nice variety of choices. Particularly enjoyed the Spinach Artichoke appetizer and my smash burger was also extra good with a thin-sliced fried pickle). Highly recommend!.
Came with some volunteer friends from Ridgecrest CC. Enjoyed the eating around large table. Waiter was fast and efficient. Food was great and reasonable- shrimp/grits and BLT.
I highly recommend, they are friendly, great service and the food is amazing!!!!❤️

What a lovely experience we had here! Looking for a nice but not crazy expensive spot for an anniversary meal while out of town, we came to Black Mountain Bistro not completely sure it would be good - but it was way better than good. Start with our server, Sage. She took great care of us, offered suggestions when we weren't sure, and just had a lovely and welcoming personality. Thanks, Sage! We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer and it was delicious. The tomatoes were perfectly done and the flavor of the sauce was a nice compliment. The potato croquette was amazing. The citrus vinaigrette dressing for the salad was great - I would absolutely by a bottle of it if it was available. We both had the ribeye dinners that came with seasoned potato wedges and vegetables. Both steaks were huge and cooked perfectly. Can't imagine getting a steak we would have enjoyed much more, and they were just over $30. We shared a piece of pineapple coconut cake which was the perfect ending to a truly lovely meal. Even with a few celebratory drinks, the bill was under $125. A great value considering what we could have spent at many of the upscale places in Asheville. We would definitely go back .
Delicious food, reasonable prices and incredible & friendly service.
The food here is good and it is a reasonable price. If you’re a travel looking for a place to eat, this is a safe choice, good menu, quality food service.
This is the second time we’ve been here. It’s become a tradition when we come here to visit. Love the cranberry salad with grilled chicken. Everything is so good and it’s a great quaint place for brunch or lunch. And friendly waitresses!
Patio seating is a must. Dog friendly. The food was amazing, especially the appetizer zucchini planks.
