I stop here every single time I visit black mountain. The owners are wonderful and the doughnuts are amazing. Loved them so much I had them at my wedding.

Maybe the best vegan donut I’ve had. It’s a simple shop with a friendly staff and lots of options. We could have eaten them there, but we took ours to a nearby park. It was a perfect mountain morning.

Wonderful shop we'd really enjoyed visiting today. Very tasty treats to be had inside. Friendly staff and a clean facility. I really wanted a Boston Creme Pie doughnut, but unfortunately they are only available on the weekend. Sad face because we were there on a Monday. We will just have to return again to this area again one day.

I got a few dozen for my birthday party instead of a cake and it was such a hit! Love going here before or after a hike - the bear claw is my latest favorite!

I love this place. These are the best doughnuts I’ve ever had and vegan as well. They’re delicious and I’m in love. Dough House is truly a hidden gem in Black Mountain NC. My partner and I are both Celiacs so finding GF donuts is a struggle. We came here a year ago and enjoyed the best gluten free donuts we’ve ever had. This past weekend we came back for more and due to complications from Hurricane Helene they’ve had to re-work their gluten free donut options & had to temporarily take them off of their menu. When they heard that we came from Carrboro, they gave us complimentary gf donuts that were AMAZING!! We spoke to one of the co-owners, Julie, who was super kind & funny. We will recommend this place to anyone - the donuts are seriously that good. ❤️
Asheville already has a good donut shop with vegan options, but this one is worth the drive! Made to order and lots of unique flavors! Great taste and texture (yeasted donuts only, not cake as far as I'm aware). They even had some gluten free options (which I didn't try).
Oh, the weird garlic butter donut is totally worth trying (even for someone who loves the sweet sweet donuts)!

they didn’t have any gluten free donuts 30 minutes after opening. maybe they should make more of them? wth. thank goodness the blue ridge biscuit company exists right next door!
ETA what a rude response. in case anyone is wondering there are 3 other doughnut companies in AVL with gluten free donuts. Don’t support rude people. Not everyone uses instagram (maybe the rudeness comes from living on the internet).
