We ate at Mac's Burgers & Cheesesteaks at Lookout Brewing on a Thursday evening. We ordered two cheeseburgers and fries from the food truck. There were two employees working inside the food truck. We saw one other customer order after us. It took over one hour to receive our food. My wife’s basket had homemade chips that were cold and tasted awful. My basket had French fries. The cheeseburgers were just okay. Certainly not the best that we’ve had and nothing to return for. We ordered a Diet Coke and water from the bar. There were ants on the outdoor picnic tables which was to be expected. The biggest problem was waiting over a hour for the food to be delivered.
Got there at 7 on a weekday. they weren’t that busy, told me they wouldn’t even take my order for another half hour. I’m sorry, generally I’m incredibly sympathetic, I cooked for most of my life, I’ve seen too busy to take more orders, this wasn’t it; just take the order and tell me it’ll be a minute, this is just a crappy way to run a business.
MAC’S is back and it’s better than ever y’all better go check it out killer burgers, great fries and wonderful staff and atmosphere

Quick friendly service. Delicious burgers and fries! What more can I say? Oh yeah, the Philly cheesesteak looks amazing, but I haven't tried it yet.

This place was awesome! So much food in each basket it was impossible to finish it. Hamburger was real meat with real ingredients!! All beef hot dogs and slaw were fantastic!

Great food and great service! We were worried that Helene might have damaged this little gem but we were sooo glad that the tree that fell was behind the restaurant! Just off of the main drag and well worth the trip and a return trip too!
Parking: Very small - nice outdoor deck. Food is worth it! Patty melt is sublime!

Burgers, cheesesteaks, and some sandwiches. What they do, they do well. For the best cheesesteak in the Asheville area and perhaps west of Philly, go to Macs!
