Thank you so much for a lovely birthday dinner! Such a beautiful location, great food/drinks (highly recommend Chai espresso martini), and exceptional service. Special thanks to servers Chris and Grace for going above and beyond, you guys were incredible and made my evening!

The food was good, but nothing special, and the portions were fairly small. Not much of an atmosphere. Great service. My waitress was charming and efficient.

Wonderful dining experience. Lovely presentation. Very tasty entrees. Tried the Southern fried chicken, the shrimp and grits and the trout. All three entrees had appetizing presentation, spicing was perfect and very enjoyable.

Exceptional experience from start to finish! The restaurant’s charming ambiance, created a cozy atmosphere. The service was impeccable—our server was so attentive.

I had the trout, which was came with blend of local vegetables and everything tasted amazing. The portions were perfect. Overall, Milton’s is a gem in Black Mountain. The combination of yummy food, outstanding service, and great atmosphere makes it a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

We made reservations, as we were a party of six, for Easter, and we were told the earliest reservation we could get was 2:30, which was fine. Everything was buffet style for a set price of $55, which, to begin with, was pretty steep. The food was absolutely ice cold-not a hint of warmth to any of it. All the sterno's were out. We had to just about wrestle the server from the carving station for prime rib, who had changed out of uniform and was filling a "to-go" box for himself, making us feel bad. It was not a good experience and it will be our 1st and last time at Milton's.

Made reservations, over 15 minutes waiting on waitress , and menu was one piece of paper. Nothing on it like online menu... walked out.Management is completely useless... ( felt bad for wait staff )Pomadoras in Oteen 10 times better in every way...Saved my wifes Bday celebration

Overall our experience here was pretty good. In the beginning, our server took about 20 minutes to greet us; there was another server who said it was her first day and she was training that came by to get our drink order, but it took a very long time to get our actual food order in.The food was delicious, my husband and I both got Cesar salads and the deviled eggs to start. For dinner we got the shrimp and grits and the souther fried chicken, both were wonderful. For dessert we split the chocolate ice cream, and our server comped for us after asking if we were celebrating anything and we mentioned it was our first wedding anniversary. It was a nice way to end our evening.

Met friends for drinks and wound up having dinner as well. Wonderful wait staff, great food, and got a table in front of the fireplace!

My family and I have enjoyed dining at Milton’s several times over the past couple of years. The Ploughman’s Board (a charcuterie cheese board) is our absolute favorite item on the menu and we look forward to it every time. Unfortunately many of the best items have been removed from the board and the price made a significant jump from $20 to $25 dollars. A five dollar price increase on an appetizer item is a very large price increase, and $25 is a lot of money for an appetizer (even at an upscale restaurant). It is a very large appetizer, but $25 —- eeek. The deviled egg spread, pickled okra, whole grain mustard and toasted bread items have been removed from the board. These were some of the best parts of the board, please bring them back. Overall still good, but would be much better and the big price increase wouldn’t sting as much if some of the best parts were not removed. Also disappointed to see the cornbread and jalapeño jam that used to come with dinner is no longer as well. Please bring this item back as well.

We ate dinner last night Christmas Eve and we're so disappointed. The food was horrific. We were so excited about our trip for Christmas Eve and we're so disappointed. The menu was a set menu that offered a slab of pork belly or a piece of chicken that was a dark piece leg. The soup was filled 1 in in the bowl and was ice cold. I just don't understand who would pick that kind of food for Christmas Eve it was just horrible. They didn't charge me for mine but they should have taken my husband's off he could barely eat his.

We ate supper on 12/23/23. The place is under new management, and, honestly, I'm embarrassed to say how tasteless and sad the food was: my date's steak was gristle and tough; my trout was totally bland, served on top of plain small potatoes in their skin, on a bed of pureed asparagus- pureed like baby food. I do not waste food, but I brought most of this home to the dog. The matzo soup was very good.I've eaten at the Monte Vista for over 30 years, had a wedding reception there, and a huge surprise birthday party. I had take-out during Covid. All of these were delicious, even scrumptious! Rosalee Phillips- we need you back at the Monte Vista! And please bring your beautiful lobby decor too!

Food was creative & well prepared. The pot roast left alot to be desired, nothing like a mom makes. Everything else was perfection. The room was loud, although it wasn't full. Needs noise panels on ceiling or something to take away the echo & add ambiance.
