This restaurant always has the best food. There is a fantastic deviled egg oyster appetizer that is amazing. Their specials are always too of the line. They do not have frequent turnaround with their staff so service is superb!

Although the restaurant wasn't busy dinner took 2 and 1/2 hours as we waited 1 and half hours for our main course despite numerous reminders to our waiter who kept saying it wouldn't be long. The waiter offered to comp half the bill out of his pocket but when we declined that restaurant management didn't do much to make it right.

We stopped by here on our way across the state, and it happened to be our anniversary so we were not looking for fast food. The reviews were good, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The fish dishes are excellent. I had the grilled trout. We also splurged and enjoyed in house dessert of key lime pie- one of the best that I ever ate!

Great food. Friendly staff. The only reason not 5 stars is our group of 7 had 630 p reservations and food came out about 800 p.

Was recommended by a local. We had the 222 and a half dozen raw oysters. Excellent! And, server was amazing and very attentive.

We’re from the NC coast and are always apprehensive about eating fried seafood away from the coast; however, the fried shrimp was incredible. Very impressed and even cheaper than what we pay at the coast (Swansboro, NC). Well done! The cocktails were great (whiskey fig martini) and the assortment of bourbons was better than most restaurants. We’ll be back, for sure!

We haven't been to Que Sera in a few years and wanted to try it again. However it was a disappointment. My husband said his trout dinner was very good. The strawberry/blueberry salad was good but he ordered a small salad and received and was charged for a large one. I had shrimp scampi which was below average. Absolutely no seasoning on the shrimp. Just throw boiled shrimp on the plate. Also artichoke hearts right out of the can. And grape tomatoes, no seasoning, Just plop them on the plate and heat them up a bit. The pasta was good, but I had higher expectations for the prices and reputation of this restaurant. Also, very short-handed. They should be able to get servers at an upscale establishment. The restaurant was packed and there were some large parties. There were only two servers which was totally insufficient. Our server worked her patoosh off but could not keep up. We had to wait for long periods for the check, for dessert, for the check to come back after she took our credit card. She returned the wrong credit card to us, being in a hurry. She did not offer dessert, but just brought the check. Then when we ordered dessert she had to take the check back, cancel it and bring a new check, all of which made for more delays. Not blaming the server, she had more than she could handle. A final note. If you want to have a conversation, forget it. It was extremely noisy being packed full of people and nothing to break up the noise.

Made reservations for a special dinner and found the restaurant packed full and noisy. The staff were slow to find a table to squeeze us in. We ultimately left after waiting to be seated and enjoyed dinner in one of the other nearby restaurants.

Que Sera/Tayloe’s is the place to be in Black Mountain. The owner has spent a lifetime creating this exquisite cuisine that rivals that of any major city. You will not be disappointed with fresh, vibrant dishes with the best french creole cream sauces your palate has ever had. It’s like being transported back in time served to you in a small mountain town in a historic building. All in a very family friendly environment.Be sure to ask for Sam as your server. Her electric personality shines through with decades of experience to cap off the ultimate dining experience. The menu will come to life with Sam’s trademark skill for specific recommendations tailored to your taste and that of your guest’s.This may not be for you but everyone I have referred or met would disagree.

We wanted some oysters and gave this place a try. The oyster bar is connected to main restaurant. Samantha was our hostess/server and did an excellent job. Food and service was great. We recommend this place.

Upscale what I would classify as French-American (with some New Orleansy twists) restaurant in Black Mountain. A number of fairly traditional dishes combined with fried seafood offerings. Excellent food and service.

We went for dinner for a friends birthday and everything was awesome. We shared the oysters to start which I thought were fantastic! My girlfriend got the redfish which was panseared with nice crust in the outside, finished in the oven to perfection. The tomato salad was generously portioned with fries okra and a hefty mozzarella ball. Everything was phenomenal!
