What a lovely dinner! The food is a mix of Cajun, creole, and mountain cuisine. The emphasis is on local and farm to table choices. We dined on flounder stuffed with crab; a variety of Virginia oysters raw, Cajun style, and po boys. The salads are very generous and a half is more than ample per person. Desserts of flan and real key pie are amazing ask for Brad as your server and you will be delighted with the service. Parking is tight so bring your own parking place or come by Helicopter.
Disappointing. I ordered a fish that was bland and my husband had a blackened fish that had no spices on it (was white). I would go to Pure and Simple. Best meal ever. Perhaps the raw bar here is a better bet.
My friends and I had a great time at Que Sera! We were in Black Mountain for work and did not have a reservation, but were able to be seated in the bar area on a Friday night. The staff was so kind and helpful (shout out to Brooke!), and the fish was PHENOMENAL! We got red snapper and trout, plus bread pudding for dessert, and everything was delicious and surprisingly affordable. They had a whole menu section for oysters with various preparations, which we didn't try but looked great. Highly highly recommend!
We were spending a few days in Black Mountain and needed a good- no pizza, no sandwich- dinner. So glad we walked into Que Sera. Our server, Sara, was very familiar with the menu. Her first excellent recommendation was for the Whisky Fig cocktail..SO good!! The perfect blend of bourbon with cinnamon and lime and omigosh- you just need to try it! For dinner, my husband got the filet mignon served with asparagus and a twice baked potato. I took Sara's second excellent suggestion and tried the black grouper specialwith lump crab meat over a mushroom/corn risotto buerre blanc that was absolutely delicious. We finished with the key lime pie for dessert. Good atmosphere, great service, outstanding food. Highly recommend!!
This restaurant always has the best food. There is a fantastic deviled egg oyster appetizer that is amazing. Their specials are always too of the line. They do not have frequent turnaround with their staff so service is superb!

Although the restaurant wasn't busy dinner took 2 and 1/2 hours as we waited 1 and half hours for our main course despite numerous reminders to our waiter who kept saying it wouldn't be long. The waiter offered to comp half the bill out of his pocket but when we declined that restaurant management didn't do much to make it right.

We stopped by here on our way across the state, and it happened to be our anniversary so we were not looking for fast food. The reviews were good, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The fish dishes are excellent. I had the grilled trout. We also splurged and enjoyed in house dessert of key lime pie- one of the best that I ever ate!

This was a very frustrating and disappointing dining experience. After waiting for almost an hour and half, the waiter announced that the order was not in the computer. We had already had a beet salad with microscopic beet shards and iced teas. As a good will gesture we reordered the entrees (the dining room was practically empty at this point) and after 30 minutes mains arrived. The redfish was well prepared but small in size even the cheese grits were skimpy. Six fried shrimp were adequate but the french fries were stone cold. The manager refused to come to the table and the poor waiter offered to cover the entree costs out of his own pocket. In the end, the restaurant comped the iced teas and 3 desserts they provided. We closed the restaurant down and left reinforced in the belief that New Orleans cuisine never translates well out of the city itself. There was no professionalism in this joint and I would never recommend this eatery to anyone. They have serious operational issues and unprofessional management.
Great food. Friendly staff. The only reason not 5 stars is our group of 7 had 630 p reservations and food came out about 800 p.

This was a fun and delicous dinner spot. We ate here for the first time. Very good guidance on our orders from our excellent server. i had some chargrilled oysters which were excellent. At this point I don't rememger what else I ordered, I believe it wqas an amazing Ceasar Salad !! Our entire party of 3 couples all enjoyed our meal and the admosphere of this restaurant. We hope to return on our next visit to Montreat Conference Center.
We have been enjoying delicious food from this restaurant for years…not this night. The kitchen was understaffed and it showed. Our food took forever and was decent when we finally got it…ended up being a three hour night. I know what this place is capable of serving and it makes me sad to have to move on to another spot next visit to eat. The waiter was hustling and doing his best and apologized but he cannot alone save this restaurant! We may give it one more chance and read the reviews.
Was recommended by a local. We had the 222 and a half dozen raw oysters. Excellent! And, server was amazing and very attentive.

We’re from the NC coast and are always apprehensive about eating fried seafood away from the coast; however, the fried shrimp was incredible. Very impressed and even cheaper than what we pay at the coast (Swansboro, NC). Well done! The cocktails were great (whiskey fig martini) and the assortment of bourbons was better than most restaurants. We’ll be back, for sure!
