Very warm, well done decor. Good food (though portions were a little small for the price....?). Not many vegetarian options - but you can get by if you eat fish.

Server walked out on me and my wife and 3 kids claiming she diner her a tip when she got a $10 for sorry service anyway. Server came outside after we walked to our car and yelled down the road you didn't tip and said that's rude and you should be embarrassed in front in front of my kids. I drove off and then decided to go back and speak with the manager. She was pregnant and told me that I didn't tip her and that she had the right to come out and harass us for a tip smh. We were in town for a few days and I explained to this manager that you cannot allow your staff servers etc.. to chase down customers for tip money because that can put your establishment in a bad situation because people are crazy. I have to much to lose to act a certain inappropriate way because that doesn't teach my kids the proper ways to handle situations. A manager who tells a customer that their staff can chase customers out of an establishment is crazy as hell and asking for a dangerous situation to occur. The lady that ran her mouth telling at me and my family after I explained to her manager we tipped $10 decided to tell me I was lying and didn't tip anything even after bad service. That's the thing about it tipping is gratuity and based on good service and that shows how bad the service was. Never in my life have I ever had a manager say to me that's ok behavior for her servers and staff to chase customers down in the streets and yell at them to embarrass them and actually state you're ok with that behavior smh. If I was somebody else that would have went down a whole lot worse and they bullied the right family that night smh. Please be aware of this please and that its service is mediocre and that expects excellence for service even when it's bad. I really feel sorry for the status quo of a supposedly high end French restaurant that has servers begging for tips and harassing their customers because they don't like the amount of tip they get. They better change their ways are they will be out of business soon.

Always excellent service and food, & we’ve never been disappointed with Tayloe’s. Fried or raw - oysters are fresh & wonderful. Burger is fantastic. Redfish Hal & gumbo are so good! Truly, you can’t go wrong & we eat there every time we’re in town.

I love love loved my experience here! We had a Valentine's weekend date night here and it was perfect. The food was amazing, our server Joe was attentive and friendly, and the vibe of the restaurant was so relaxed and intimate.

We were in a hurry and had some apps: eggplant and crab cakes, crawfish something or other, pear salad, and gumbo. Everything was great, and the bread and butter was something altogether different and memorable. The gumbo was so good we had a second round of it. And being in a hurry our server person really knocked it out in good time.

Food was excellent. I'm from south Mississippi and I haven't had shrimp creole that good since I left. Would definitely recommend and I will be back. Service was excellent as well

Best place in Western NC. Check out attached Oyster Bar. Always fresh and best service around.

The oysters on the half shell were fabulous! The etoufee was spot on & the veal scallopini was so flavorful!! Now the service ..... probably the best we have had !!!!!!!

This has always been our go to restaurant, went the other night, while the food is still good the decor is sadly in need of a refresh, water stained menus, they give you 1 specials menu per table so you have to look at it 1 at a time and pass it on .Management seems to be absent, food runners don't seem to know which table the entrees go to. However the food is still good.
Fabulous seafood meal that is the best in town. Great selections on menu...Not your typical fried seafood choices. Oyster choices were wonderful. Drink menu was great. If you want local dining at its best, Que Sera/Tayloe's Oyster Bar is the best choice.

Ok, Blue Crab Claws for small plate, a wedge salad, summer tomato pie, BBQ shrimp and red fish….absolutely amazing, just amazing. Sit in the bar side, less “stuffy”, dress as you are, and wait for an amazing experience. Just amazing….you will want to ask for more bread and butter, I promise!!

We sat at the bar, rather than a table, and perused the menu while Katie prepared our drinks. She is an accomplished bartender and has a fun personality. We decided upon the tomato pie, which was a "seasonal" appetizer. I'd never had tomato pie before, so have nothing to compare it to, but it was delicious and we scarfed it down and then ordered one of the nightly specials...southern fried catfish with crawfish in a sage butter sauce. It was so delicious. Very creative too. Oh...and they split it for us (we shared) and almost no wait time. Really got to give kudos to Katie, the food runners and the owners! A+

Enjoyed a nice evening at Que Sera. I started with oysters with garlic butter which were good but could have been more buttery to merit the toasts that were placed on top of each oyster. We also had etouffee and the redfish. The former was tasty but not traditional. It was creamy and tomato-y. The redfish was also unexpected as it wasn't blackened. Service was good.
