The food is misleading. It looks great and the restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere, but the food and service is below average. It's all just bland. The burger patties were definitely unseasoned, and the aioli tasted like nothing but mayonnaise. Not at all worth $15. The corn chowder was the same, and the potatoes on top gave the soup a burnt taste. The fries were good though, they tasted like the kind you would get at a state fair or carnival. The service was slow but it wasn't even busy. I don't think any of us will be back.

I’ll never forget my visit to Pure & Proper. I had a reservation and arrived on time. My table wasn’t ready so the host told me to wait. There’s no space to wait in the restaurant, not even standing. So I stepped outside. I waited right outside in the restaurant parking lot, never left the premises. They don’t give you a buzzer or call your name or anything so I went back inside 10 minutes later to see what was up. They had given my table away. They weren’t apologetic about it and didn’t offer me anything for my troubles. One of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced.

Excellent meal and service. If they have had to simplify menu or service due to the storm it was not evident. We went for an early dinner and were sat right away. Food and drinks were excellent. Hostess told us they were expecting a full night tonight. It is so nice to see businesses thriving. Well done Pure and Proper.

First time. Sat at the bar. They were busy but no one seemed hurried or stressed. Nice vibe. Food was well worth the price and service was outstanding. Good wine list. Chatted with the owners, adorable couple and they have done an amazing job with this place. Worth checking out.
