One of the best meals, service and wine we have experienced. Atmosphere is off the chain great as well. Our first but not our last time.

My boyfriend and I just got back from the most amazing stay at Gideon ridge. We’ve been before for just dinner which was incredible but this time we stayed for 3 nights and we can’t wait to go back. The staff are so friendly, warm and accommodating. They go above and beyond including putting fresh baked cookies and a card wrapped in a cute little gift bag, on your door handle every night. It was such a nice surprise and really showed how much effort they put into the tiny details to help their guests feel welcome.
The views are incredible and the inn itself was decorated beautifully for the holidays. They had a wood burning fire going in the living room all day which was a perfect spot to drink coffee and read.
The rooms were large, cozy and clean with luxurious robes and fluffy towels. (They don’t skimp out on fresh towels). The rooms had the perfect amount of vintage charm with modern luxuries.
Breakfast every morning was incredible. So fresh and filling with delicious coffee. Major shoutout to the chef and cooking staff.
Highly recommend grabbing a cocktail at the bar (which had an amazing bartender/mixologist) and watching the sunset in the sunroom.
We seriously can’t think of anything disappointing to say about our stay and are counting down the days until we’re back. It’s a place where you can feel equally comfortable wearing your pajamas around or dressing up.
We were so sad to leave today but want to thank the Gideon Ridge staff for an exceptional stay in this cozy, private oasis ❤️❤️ we’ve stayed in a lot of places around the world and this is by far one of our best experiences.

We stayed at the Inn & ate at the restaurant. I’ve lived in NC for over 20 yrs. & I can’t believe I’m just now discovering Gideon Ridge! The Inn is adorable, very clean, the most comfortable bed & the bathrooms are updated very nicely. Their little touches are what makes the experience so quaint. Our meal was one of the best we’ve ever had, the lamb shank was next level. It was my husband’s birthday & they all mentioned it…again, the little touches. Breakfast the following morning was an added bonus, we didn’t even know it was included. We’ll be back, the views are unbeatable!

We went for dinner but did not stay overnight. Based on our fantastic experience with diner and the service, we highly recommend a visit or stay. Folks we met there were very positive about their stay. We plan to go back!
Food and drinks: The food was outstanding. A good pour too! I really enjoyed the duck breast which they do a special way. The fish soup was very good as well.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Gideon Ridge Inn over Mother’s Day weekend and the entire experience captured a moment in time closest to transcendence. No doubt had much to do with the occasion and people - all the fine folks at GRI (an exceptional mgr) and ofc family - but the indescribably beautiful surrounds put it over the top. “Beauty is its own excuse for being” — yes, this place inspires the reciting of poetry. Our dinner was outstanding, service impeccable, and the sweet rose with hand written MD note was a special touch among many. GRI is the quaintest of quaint and we’ll definitely be back to mark another special occasion. And it will be a blessing.

We stayed here in April and the location, food and environment were excellent. We arrived Sunday and found that the restaurant was open for more casual dining on Sundays so we were pleased to get a bonus meal at the restaurant. Our dinner reservation on Monday (the main reason we stayed) was one of the best meals we’ve had in NC and we were pleasantly surprised when the chef cooked the breakfast pancakes on Tuesday-the blueberry pancakes were superb. Breakfast the following day (not cooked by the chef) was still much better than the average hotel breakfast. They are very thoughtful about the guest experience and they put out cookies for you ever night which is a sweet touch. The grounds were absolutely lovely and it was the perfect quiet getaway. My only small qualm is that when I tried running the bath in our room oily residue/scum came out from the jets and when I informed staff they didn’t really address it. I think offering to clean the tub or change rooms (there was availability) or even comp some free drinks would have been an adequate response ??♀️ the scum made the tub unusable and that was one of the reason we chose our specific room. This is why I cannot give it 5 stars but overall we still had a great experience and we would return.
