Extremely tasty vegetarian entrees. The staff readily customized our order (extra veggies, no mushrooms...). They have good brown rice with a small upcharge. The Massaman Curry with extra veggies was the best we have had - rich full flavor with a little heat. And the roasted garlic with extra veggies caught us by complete surprise it was so good - many restaurants have a bland brown sauce that depends on salt to have much taste, but not Moon's. We will eat here 3 times over our week in Blowing Rock to bike and bird. And they also have a wide menu of Asian dishes.
Drunkin’ noodle chicken ohhh so good. Appetizer pork dumplings. Followed up by black bear roll, and spider roll. Don’t pass this place up.

Heads up! This place now has a 83.5 sanitation rating saw it while waiting on a Togo order. Wish we’d known before ordering. Food was okay, but one did did have a hair on it. Won’t be back until rating is way up. :(
***BUYER BEWARE ***
Coming from the Northeast where I’ve experienced authentic Asian cuisine, the food here is below average hands down. We did not like the taste of a sushi roll and was told we still had to pay for it. Not even an attempt to provide a dish as a replacement. We had to give pushback since being forced to pay for a tasteless dish doesn’t sit well with anyone..eventually the owner (tall Thai man) came to our table abrasively and told us “ I will take it off the bill for today but if you come back not liking a dish we won’t serve you “. My girlfriend is Chinese and we over heard him tell the staff that “ we don’t do returns, this isn’t a Chinese restaurant “….. the degree of unprofessionalism and racism was shocking. I had to flag the owner down to give him a piece of my mind. This man has the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant, an attitude way uncalled for ..for someone serving subpar food…. Unacceptable.
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Disrespectful Treatment and Discrimination
I recently visited a Thai restaurant in Blowing Rock, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered a fried sushi roll, but after the first bite, it was clear the oil used to fry it had not been changed in a long time—it tasted rancid and unpleasant. I politely raised my concern to the server and asked if I could exchange the roll for the same one, just without the deep frying.
To my shock, the owner approached my table holding a piece of paper outlining their “no return or exchange” policy. He handed it to me with an attitude and no empathy, refusing to accommodate my request. I was stunned, especially because if the food is inedible, why shouldn’t a customer be able to voice their concern and ask for a replacement?
As he walked away, he loudly said “THIS IS NOT A CHINESE RESTAURANT, I don’t do returns” to his staff. I was left speechless. That comment not only felt inappropriate but also discriminatory. I felt personally attacked and uncomfortable since I am Chinese. It seemed as if his words were laced with prejudice. It was a shocking and upsetting experience I never expected in a place I’ve visited many times before.
The owner’s aggressive and disrespectful behavior left a terrible impression on me and I can’t believe how I was treated. This is not the kind of service anyone should expect, especially when raising a genuine concern about the quality of food.
I will not be returning to this restaurant and strongly advise others to consider the way they may be treated before visiting.

We’ve been coming to Blowing Rock for 17 years, how did we miss this place. We really enjoyed our meal. My wife and I were in the mood for a fried rice dish. We opted for Basel Fried Rice. It was excellent — great flavor and perfect portion size. My daughter had sushi. Also excellent. We’ll certainly be back

Everyone was very friendly and food was amazing. They also have a cozy outdoor patio seating and ample parking spaces.

Went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was almost completely full, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food came out quick, especially considering how busy it was. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We look forward to coming back!

My husband and I live local and usually like going to this place. However, we will not be back. We went here with our three month old baby who was asleep in the car seat. We asked for a booth so we could keep him sleeping in the car seat. Even though there were open booths, they would not let us have one because we weren’t a party of four. They said we could only sit at a two top. But that wouldn’t work with our baby. Even after I explained this, she still would not let us sit at a booth. This is ridiculously rude, and we will not be back

Absolutely amazing sushi. I ordered the red mustang roll, finished it and got another. Best sushi I’ve ever had the spicy tuna on the roll was delicious. Will be making the hour drive to go again.
