It was great! It was an unseasonably warm day. The business was was quiet. It was a refreshing change from the location in Downtown Blowing Rock!! It was my first visit to this location. Just like the downtown location the staff was friendly and inviting. You cannot go wrong visiting either location!
Great ice cream, fudge, and candy! I was pleasantly surprised to find a Kilwin's location in Blowing Rock. Of course, I had to stop in and get a hot fudge sundae. The only problem I had was deciding which ice cream to have. They have about 24 different flavors to choose from. The sundae was topped with whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry. It was a nice day, so I went outside and sat on a bench and leisurely ate it up. Yum!

All ice cream flavors are delicious but my absolute favorite is the coconut one. My two grandsons now 15 and 17 years old always had to take a trip to Kilwins in Blowing Rock when they were visiting Oma and Opa since they were both two years old. Their favorite ice cream when they were little was "Superman" which left the inside of their mouth a bright blue. It was a sight to see but they enjoyed it. Service was excellent too.
