It’s our favorite dining location for all our special occasions! From the greeting by the Valet to the Reception we received wishing us Happy Anniversary inside to the fantastic service it was a memorable 50th Anniversary!
We had a reservation at Rowland's on Thanksgiving Day for their buffet. The cost was $80/person. We were contacted by phone several days before to confirm this reservation, which we did. We saw online that by the time Thanksgiving rolled around, they were "sold out". When we arrived, it took several minutes for them to seat us, and it appeared that they were having to figure out where to put us. We were put at a table in the corner that had no flowers, no lamp, nothing like the other tables around us. We noticed later that when other folks came in they had assigned tables. When we asked what was going on, we were told that a couple without reservations had arrived and "things had to be moved around". Really? What does sold out mean??? It took several minutes for someone to approach our table to ask if we were being helped. When we said no, they got someone there. From what our waitress told us, it basically sounded as if they had given our table to the 'no reservation' people. The food was served buffet style and nothing was any warmer than room temperature. As a matter of fact, I could not tell if the green bean casserole was supposed to be cold or not. Even the soup was only slightly warm. At this price point, we felt this was not acceptable so when the maitre d' came to ask us how things were, we told him. It really is too bad because we've been to Rowland's before and the food was quite good. For the most part, the food wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't up to their standards. In the end, they gave us a 20% discount which is not much considering the cost. The only thing worth mentioning was the cocktails which were quite good but no 20% off those. We won't be back.
Lovely restaurant with great atmosphere
Great Thanksgiving Lunch today with family.
The setting at Westglow is perfect. Go just before sunset so you can enjoy the full, mountain range sunset from the porch and the after glow. The food is excellent, on par with what you would anticipate from a Relais and Chateaux.
Brunch Reservation 8/31, 1:00PM
very good food and the atmosphere is superior. Wait staff was first rate
One of the all time great restaurants in the area. They did a great job for our 25th wedding anniversary
Made reservations for brunch on a Sunday, party of 4. Attention and service was excellent, from the greeting at the entrance to our server. The food and drinks were great. We would definitely visit again.
The setting was magnificent and the service was amazing. Olivia saw that every detail was attended to. A wonderful evening.

Had a dining experience to remember but, not in a good way. Some time in October I made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at 7pm. I was excited as the menu I reviewed looked delish. Turns out that's not the menu used for Thanksgiving. Okay. Instead they offered a truly traditional meal of Turkey, choice of two dressings, mashed potatoes, sweet potato soufflé and corn pudding, green bean casserole and collard greens. For dessert there were three pies to choose from, apple, pumpkin and pecan. All good.
Great food and atmosphere upscale.
My husband and I shared another phenomenal meal at Rolands (and it always makes us think "why don't we dine here more often?!?!"). The food, drinks and staff are equally excellent. This is what dining should be: a pleasure.
One of the most beautiful dining experiences in the high country. Have only had the Sunday Breakfast, but it was memorable.
The restaurant is in a beautiful setting in the former home of Elliott Dangerfield, a well known local artist. The food however does not match the setting and the expectation it creates. The sea bass was bland and the rack of lamb heavily salted. Pricey and disappointing.
