Had lunch here in October 2022 and the food was outstanding. We had heard about this restaurant from neighbors who had been there, and were surprised at how busy it was even during the week. While we had to wait about 20 minutes, it was worth the wait. Food options were extensive and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
We had a wait but it was worth it on a rainy day to have a great meal! Everyone was satisfied with their order. The biscuits were really good!
Great breakfast - generous servings at fair prices. Service was friendly and fast. Overall a wonderful place to start your day.
Delicious Southern breakfast! Everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We added bananas to the French toast for extra deliciousness, and the Neese's sausage was cooked perfectly. We plan to visit again whenever we are back in town to visit.
Unique Mountain experience with tasty food. The specialty Apple Cider was especially delicious on a chilly day.
Decided to eat here before a day of hiking. Generous portions, excellent food, great service. Would go here every morning.
When you find yourself in Blowing Rock, looking for a great breakfast, make a direct route to Sunny Rock. We went on a rainy Labor Day morning, were seated immediately and Sheila ‘showered’ us with great service (and quick). They definitely earned a ‘5’ rating. Go experience it for yourself.
Great coffee, good breakfasts, reasonably priced, great service, very clean. This will be our new go to breakfast place when we're in blowing rock.
They were so busy, but if we had had blindfolds on, we'd never have known it. The pet friendly outdoor patio seating was clean, umbrella covered and complete with water bowls! The menu was deep and wide with several healthier options. Me? Oh, I got the Monte Cristo. Not sorry!
The menu offers a new twist to standard breakfast fare. Fresh ingredients, great preparation and presentation, and friendly service…..a perfect breakfast.

Good select 3 menu. Great foot especially the greek salad. The chocolate pie and the authentic biscuit. Great value for cost?
My family and I stopped after a morning of shooting. We had a to wait a few minutes (small place) and they felt so bad. Which I found very kind. Our family all got different things but I enjoyed some Boone Benny (eggs Benedict) with home fries (add on) and grits (add on). It was if course a lot of food so hubby enjoyed half after his delicious meal. I truly recommend coming for breakfast.
You can get your traditional breakfast favorites (that's me) or something special. Our server, Isabella, was great and in spite of how busy they were, our orders came out quickly and perfectly. If you're watching cholesterol, they offer egg whites and their vegetarian sausage is the best I have had! Good coffee, too. I'm writing to the restaurant to see what it was. We'll be back next time we're in Blowing Rock. :-)
If you are ever in Blowing Rock, or even Boone for that matter, you MUST have at least one breakfast meal in this breakfast/lunch restaurant!!! First the food is amazing and there are so many unique items to choose from. We stayed for two nights and we ate there both mornings. The first morning I had The Elvis Presley, which was bacon encrusted french toast with bananas and a side of peanut butter….i have no words, it was that good! The second morning I had Boone’s Benny which was a flare on eggs Benedict, with a side of hash browns and it was the best “Benny” I’ve had in quite a while. The place is so clean, we could’ve eaten off the floor and I peeked in the kitchen because it was next to our booth and I could’ve eaten off that floor too! Even Gordon Ramsey would’ve bragged about that kitchen!!! Aside from the great food and cleanliness, every single person was so kind and considerate. While we were eating on our second morning there became a line at the door and the hostess gave those waiting to-go cups of coffee to have while they waited. I’ve never seen that happen before, but frankly a simple idea that should be performed more often by more restaurants. Simple customer satisfaction that says ‘you matter, your business matters, your opinion matters’. Please visit this amazing family restaurant if you are in town, enjoy your dining experience and say something nice when you leave….they deserve it!
my husband really enjoyed the nice assortment of hot sauces. the prices were reasonable and there was a ton of variety of food! i tried breakfast tacos for the first time here and really enjoyed them!
