The Speckled Trout Restaurant and Bottle Shop

We make it a point to get to Speckled Trout every time we are in Blowing Rock. It's such a friendly, fun environment with outstanding service and amazing food! It's our family's favorite place to go!

Having the right people will make any company successful. Speckled Trout staff is an example. Shout out to Kelan He was attentive, knowledgeable of the food served and not afraid to offer recommendations based on experience.

The trout dinners were amazing as always. One was blackened and the other was grilled. The sides were excellent. We cleared our plates (did extra on that). The restaurant was so busy and all the staff was wonderful.

We had the ideal experience. We were visiting Blowing Rock for the first time and wanted to have a dinner that helped us know we were in the mountains. My wife's trout and my catfish entrees were perfect

The cocktails are amazing! The ingredients took me a minute to wrap my head around them, but both mine and my husbands were fanatastic!!!! I ordered the catfish, it was delicious! The server was great!!! Great evening out!

Excellent food all around. Bloody Mary was exceptional. Trout nachos surprisingly tasty...will order again.

My family went to blowing rock for the day. This was our second time dining at the speckled trout and we absolutely loved it! Great food and atmosphere! Definitely a must for any visit to blowing rock.

Excellent experience from reservation to paying our bill. Parking in the city was a challenge. Get there early for your reservation! We had to park over 1/2 mile away & barely made reservation time.

We had a fabulous dinner. It will be difficult to top the flavor of the trout (hickory and almond crusted). The Gouda grits and kale salad were both outstanding as well. We will definitely come back when we are in Blowing Rock.

This was my 3rd visit, my husband's 2nd and our son's 1st time at Speckled Trout. As always, the service was impeccable, the food was unique and delicious, and our experience so wonderful. I don't often go back to the same place again because there are so many great places to discover, but I'll go back to speckedled trout again and again

Service mediocre. Server hardly checked on us. I considered not leaving him a tip at all, but left less than I usually do. Food was good as always. Noise level very high and I can't criticize that because I did choose the covered porch since I was taking my dog and other dogs were out there.

Incredible food and great service. Get the hickory smoked trout and Mac and cheese. So delish!

This was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. The restaurant is obviously very popular, but the service is subpar. We were seated at our reservation time (5:15), 4 adults and a toddler in a high chair. We waited >30 minutes for the food to be served, but the child's meal did not arrive. We asked numerous time (how long does it take to make a grilled cheese sandwich?), and so took turns walking with her outside since she started to fuss, which meant meals getting cold. By the time her food was delivered, we were all done eating and she was wiped out and wouldn't eat. The server never asked if we wanted drink refills or anything else. I would not return or recommend.
