While the food was delicious, I could only give it three stars because the portion sizes are minuscule. The flavor was great but chicken and dumplings was mainly a bowl of soup, (not thick) and three small dumplings. The chicken was diced small and very little of it. No bread or crackers came with it. My husband's steak was delicious but came with no bread or salad. The side of greens and a few potatoes was small and no bread.We spoke with the manager who offered us extra...
Our first time eating here. We did make dinner reservations a couple days ahead and got a table outside on the porch which was perfect. Ava, our server, did an excellent job explaining the different trout dishes. She gave us her recommendations and we chose those - the almond and corn meal encrusted trout and the Palometa style trout. Both were delicious! All of our sides were also very good..roasted fennel potatoes, quinoa tabbouleh salad, tomato asparagus mushroom hash and gouda...
Great food, great service, great spot to sit and eat after a day hike. My server, Hala, was great. I highly recommend the Palometa trout w/ mac & cheese, and the pistachio cake.
