Night time live music is nice. Food is basic not much flavor or seasoning. Great for resort restaurant saves time.

The reason for the low rating was our evening meal, which was my birthday, so my expectations were pretty high. I ordered the $52 steak which came out cooked very rare on one end and medium on the other. The broccolini was so over cooked, it smelled bad and tasted worse. For $52 the meal should have been perfect! My husband's meal was a chicken dish which seemed to be microwaved with hard, inedible & over cooked edges. The chicken was $30 something....for chicken. As for breakfast, it was HUGE but lacked flavor. The pancakes were good. My opinion is that if you are a restaurant catering to high end clientele? Bring your A game not a C- effort. Fire the cook.

Great atmosphere. Great service and food. Went for our first wedding anniversary, they offered us prosecco and dessert comped. That was very nice and unexpected.

Let me start by saying that we chose this restaurant based on the reviews, which is why I had to balance the scale and write my own… I made a reservation and we arrived 30 minutes early. Requested to be seated earlier if this was an option, which we were told she would “check with the wait staff.” At 7:15, surrounded by empty tables and other families and couples being told to grab a seat at an empty table behind a bar, we left after we were given the excuse of only having a single server. If I had been advised of this staff shortage, we probably would have cancelled our reservation and left, as at least 4 other couples did, due to the poor menu. Avoid going here unless you would like to be treated badly, overlooked, dismissed, and served overpriced sandwiches and salads. Save yourself the trouble and find another small business that cares about service and quality.

We placed reservations a MONTH ago, for my bachelorette dinner, and got placed at the smallest table. There were 6 of us. When we asked to go to a bigger table, we were told it was for another party of 6 coming at 7. But our reservation was for 6:30. The table was so small, and in the walkway, we kept having to duck when a server walked by with trays for other tables. There was also no room for our shared plates or food. We’re 6 grown adults, not children. We could have easily been seated at a bigger table, especially since it was for a special occasion. I was wearing a bridal headpiece and a sash, clearly were celebrating something. The food was subpar. The mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts were cold. Then, to make up for the small table, they brought us complimentary pieces of cake…but no extra plates. Very disappointing and ludicrous. We had better food at The Local in Boone. We only picked this place because we hoped it would be special. It wasn’t.Skip the expensive prices and average food and go somewhere else.

Would recommend sitting in the bar next time...we didn't but the bartender (that looks like Prince) had the most personality and was the most friendly. The maple chili wings were great! The fried green tomatoes were good but only 4 slices for like $18 that was a bit much and the charcuterie board was definitely not as nice as would be expected for the vibe of the place. The outdoor area near the lake was cute and family friendly for a nice stroll after dining.

We went to breakfast after an overnight trip to Blowing Rock. The location was beautiful with a senior view. We were seated quickly and the interior decor was beautiful. We both ordered omelettes with sausage potatoes and toast. The omelettes were ok but a little overdone. Toast was severed dry with no butter or jelly. Great venue but food was very average at best. I would go back to try again.

We went for breakfast one morning while stay on property for my birthday. It took almost 10 mins for someone to come get our drink order after we were sat. Then, they came by and dropped off the food and never came back around. I had to get up and go find a server to ask for a refill on coffee, water, and for hot sauce for my omelette. The server only came back to drop off our check. I was very disappointed with the level of service and for what we paid for breakfast the food wasn’t worth the price. We ventured out to a different restaurant off property for breakfast the remainder of our stay.

The food is always wonderful here. I was sad to have dinner for my birthday and the venison was already out. I guess we had late reservations. I will be back again!

I posted a review about 2 weeks ago and I went to see if it was posted and it was not. So I’m going to write my review again. The worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. We had a party of six people for Thanksgiving. First thing I had to ask for was a wet towel because the table was so sticky. Restaurant was not full and the service was slow. This was a $90.00 per head dinner. We all ordered and it took about 15 minutes to get our soup that was Luke warm at best. My friend had the crostini and the bread was so hard you could hear it when she was hitting it on the side of her plate. The Cesar salad had long cuts of lettuce that I had to cut with my knife. It was like eating spaghetti. I had the turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. It was cold and the stuffing had no flavor just like the mashed potatoes. The turkey was tough and chewy. I sent it back and did not request another plate because I knew I would receive the same awful food. I have had better meals at a diner. Two of my other friends had to send their prime rib back because it wasn’t cooked properly and one had 2 hunks of meat that were just thrown on his plate. How can you price a dinner at $90.00 when you have prime rib compared to turkey. I was charged $40.00 for soup, salad and a desert. I payed close to $600.00 for a meal that I wouldn’t pay $60.00 for. It felt like someone came into my home and robbed me of $600.00. I have cooked and managed restaurants in my life and this restaurant needs a new executive chef, kitchen staff and managers. With all the bad reviews you think they would do something about it. When they reply back to a bad review they say they take the quality of food very seriously , no they don’t. I was so disgusted with this experience and there’s nothing I can do about it but write this review. Do not go to this restaurant. Save yourself a lot of money for a very poor product.

Had a great time at Timberlake Restaurant in Chetola Resort while enjoying the Christmas lights. Gotta say, the wings were fantastic – super crispy and packed with amazing flavor. If you're in the area and craving some good eats, it's worth a visit.

We only tested the breakfast but it was great. Very friendly staff and the lodge decor is great. The kid's menu has plenty of choices and the portions are large. The omelet is good but not the best I ever had and the grits were a little bit dry. I would recommend to stick with the classics or the eggs Benedicts.Kid-friendliness: Got children menu and high chairs

This place used to be nice, lively and a pleasure to eat at. What a disappointment it was this time! Run down dining room, not very clean, zero presentation, tasteless food and dead empty. The waitress was nice and friendly. The hostess was not dressed properly for an upscale restaurant. At any price, the food was tasteless but at the prices they charge, it was a real let down. I am a high-end, professional, retired chef and was appalled any chef would allow food like this to be served at a nice resort. Never again!Chef Albrich
