My wife and I discovered the Pedalin Pig 4 years ago while in town for the Grandfather Mountain Scottish Highland Games. We have since returned on our last two visits. The menu has many offerings and the meat is extremely tasty and tender. I can’t imagine being in the area and not enjoying the Pedalin Pig. We will be back! See you next July!
The servers were friendly, but waiting an hour and 20 minutes from the time our drinks were ordered to when the food finally arrived is unacceptable—especially for a BBQ restaurant. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the delay. The brisket was dry, the potato salad lacked flavor, and overall, the meal was underwhelming. The only standout was the pork belly bites, which were decent. For a BBQ spot in a state known for its barbecue, they might want to visit some of the more established local joints and take a few notes on both preparation and service.
The food was great! Service was a little slow but not terrible. I absolutely do not recommend getting the Pit-Master. It’s $75 but the portions were really small for what you pay. It would have definitely been beneficial to just get the choose 3 for $30 a piece. The sides were individual size. Was just expecting more for the price. But I can’t complain about the food. It was good.
Our server was the sweetest. My husband loved the ribs and said the beans were the best he's ever had. Traveling through from Massachusetts. 😋
Must try!!!! This place never disappoints! You will not regret it!
The food was absolutely delicious 🤤. The In house BBQ sauce is amazing. We will definitely visiting again very soon!
I miss Woodlands, and this place never stepped up.
Called at 3:30 today and they're closed by 5:30? I'd like to know what the deal is, because to be honest because this is the second year in a row, last year we drove to the one in Boone, after they closed this one around the same time, and the food was mediocre at its best.
Maybe I'll check back when they sell, or change management, maybe.

I don't know who made the collards at the Boone location last night, but they were top notch! Best sweet potato fries around. Great bbq! Never disappointed.

I’m an old woodlands customer , and came into what seemed to be a light crowd. We sat and got our order in fairly quickly. We waited and waited, Still no sweet teA. We were about to give up and then finally said our order was on its way. The pork bbq had a good taste . And finally got my sweet tea 😃.
