D's Italian Restaurant

Unfortunately, crappy pizza with lots of attitude from the owner tonight. Her staff and other customers were shocked at how she spoke to me. It use to be the only reason I left the island was to buy their pizza but the owner made me aware that she wasn't interested in my business anymore. I'll now be going to Dry St. Pizza & Pub or Bambini's Pizzeria to get my pizza each week. Good luck treating long term local customers that way... I feel bad for their staff. I use to recommend to my neighbors and guest... but never again.

Never stepped foot in this place and went in for a training shift. Worked the entire shift and while attempting to pay for my meal i was accused of paying with fake currency. Oh im sorry she didn't accuse me... She said to get another bill because she doesn't know if this one if fake.. so whatever that means. Obviously they have had issues in the past but there is a more professional way to run a business. They have pens for that... 0/10 for the owner. Rest of the crew was pretty solid 👌

Well, I guess it's hit or miss there according to the reviews. Friendly enough folks at D's, but we got a big 'miss' and will not try again. Ordered 'to go' from the dinner menu because our kitchen is out of service as it is being painted and we wanted enough for leftovers. ( we are not eating the leftovers ) Ordered Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan. Both were about 85-95% spaghetti with a very small amount of the proteins.The pasta had almost no marinara, just a few scattered cherry tomatoes. Also globs of cheese here and there which we could do without anyway. For what we got... pricey. But pasta is inexpensive for eateries ...... so, profit wins and customer loses.
On top of that, we both had tummy troubles afterward. D's is convenient to many neighborhoods, but we'll definitely be driving farther next time.

Insalata antipasto unbalanced and undressed. No pickled anything, no olives at least ? Come on, you're hurting my soul here D's. $19.99 slap in the face. Pizza was ok. Three pasta dishes, all pedantic. $29.99 slap again. The prices could be justified if the food was worth it, capiche?

My BFF and I showed up on Sunday night at closing time
(7:59) While we were willing to walk away, the owner graciously invited us in saying it would be no problem to make a pizza. The pizza was Amazing, the waiter very friendly and we never felt we were being rushed. Especially during ‘season’ to have this kind of service is much appreciated!

The food during our visit was incredible. We got pizza, meat lasagna, and chicken francaise. All was served piping hot and tasted amazing! 5 stars hands down just because the food was THAT good. And we've been to a huge number of Italian restaurants.

We order pizza from there almost every Friday, but since the old man's back... the pizza has sucked. You ask for extra sauce, you get exact opposite.

Much better Pizza than you’d expect at the beach. Mozzarella sticks were very good. Very friendly staff who threw in an order of Garlic Knots just to be nice. We will be back.

First time dining, and enjoyed it tremendously. What a refreshing change to the overpriced tourist joints on the beach . We will be back!!
