Very accommodating of my soybean allergy. Checked when I ordered to ensure that nothing I had would cause a reaction (just an FYI: fries are cooked in soybean oil). I wish more restaurants did this. Soy is one of the top 10 most common food allergies and very few businesses note when they use it (or bother to check). Food was excellent, would eat here again.

Very glad I happened on this place. I was craving a gyro. Very good customer service. I was greeted on entry and advised where to find the menu. I ordered a few lamb gyros and Greek fries. The lamb was tender but had no flavor. Fries would have been great if the Feta added was cut in half and a tad of salt added to them. The feta overpowered the fries. The baklava was good.

I get their OG lamb gyro at least twice a week whether I deliver or pickup and I’m so obsessed. Best food ever! Great atmosphere and people. But seriously try the OG lamb gyro or anything else on the menu and you won’t be disappointed at all.

We just arrived in Boone and headed to Ambrosia after seeing the good reviews. What we didn’t know was that it closed in 15 minutes! The owner was welcoming and assured us we were no problem! We had the spanikopita (DELISH!) and the lamb gyro, also very good. We chatted with the owner a bit and when we left he gave us baklava to take with us. Super nice!
Amazing authentic Greek cuisine!!! Recommend the Sampler Platter for 2-3 people… we have a bag full of desserts to try at home. Baklava and filo-wrapped brownie!!

I love Ambrosia for everything it is and the people who work there! I recently returned from a trip to Athens and Santorini, Greece. The food I've had at Ambrosia is actually BETTER than anything I had while in Greece! It is truly authentic. Furthermore, yes, Santorini is as beautiful as the photos on the internet, but the mountains of North Carolina are of equal beauty! So when I can get AUTHENTIC GREEK CUISINE in the beautiful city of Boone, NC, I'll take it any time! The owners of Ambrosia are also great people who care about their community and their employees. They have gone above and beyond since the flood of 2024 to provide meals and support to those in need, both locally and beyond their county. That's the kind of business and people I want to support. When you eat at Ambrosia, you are eating TRUE GREEK food made with LOVE!

The food was absolutely amazing, so fresh and great portions. Definitely suggest the a lamb gyro and the orzo salad! Will definitely be coming more often!

Absolutely the best Greek food in North Carolina! Coming from a big Greek community in Florida, I can confidently say this place is a 10/10. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and seriously addictive. The atmosphere is spot-on, too—great vibes all around. I’m obsessed!
Love this little spot. Small local restaurant owned by a lovely Greek family. Service is top notch and they remember you if your a local. You can't go wrong with what to order. The Gyro is spectacular as is the Greek Salad. P.S. I love how they cook their chicken. Next time I am going to order double for my salad and take it home to use later in the week.
