Plenty open tables, but still had to wait for 45 minutes. Service was horrible. Food was just OK. I’ve ate out a lot of Applebee’s, but this one sucked.

Got a to go order lastnight, and we had a kids cheeseburger meal for our son. He started eating the burger and it was raw in several places.. Couldn’t get the store to answer the phone. For a kids burger this is not okay at all!

We waited a few moments to be seated as when we walked I there was Noone to be seen, my husband asked the hostess if she was the only one working. Once seated it took another few moments to be greeted and drink orders placed. The restaurant did not look busy at all and the parking lot was near empty. The amount of time it took to even get our drinks was a huge first clue for us to leave but we stayed because the kids were hungry. The waitress had no personality and we barely saw her. We had to ask for refills as did the table behind us. The food was pretty good and that was the only good thing about this visit but we were greatly discouraged to pay $110 for such poor service. We definitely won't be returning

If I could give negative stars on food quality I would! We spent $56 just to walk out leaving the meals on the plates! Shrimp was disgusting, steak was tough, and my wife’s supposed honey bbq ribs came out dry dry! Definitely never had any honey bbq sauce put on them! We had to ask for sauce to dip them in and they still sucked! The food was so bad that I wasn’t even willing to take it home for my dogs! Eat there at your own risk! I will be filing a complaint with the corporate office! We could have ate better from a gas station! Gas stations have better quality food than this facility! It’s pretty sad that you leave a restaurant after paying for dinner and immediately go to a different one, just so you can get something edible! The waitress has no business being a waitress. All of her customers she had to come back and ask how they wanted their steaks cooked! That’s the first question they should ask when a customer orders a steak! I give the Applebee’s in Boone, NC negative 5 stars! They should have paid us!

Understaffed on a Saturday night on Thanksgiving weekend. Suspect poor management, but who knows. Locals must, as there were very few patrons there at 7pm, which is very odd for a Saturday. Should have paid attention to the clues. However our waiter/bartender/busboy did a very good job taking caxre of us. Food was ok. French onion soup was good, beer was cold, sangria was weak. Steaks were flavored ok, but both were overcooked. Garlic potatoes tasted good, but were not even slightly warm. Garlic green beans were the hit of my meal, as was the side salad. Not bad for $75 out the door, but not worth the $110 we paid. I would avoid. Lots better in the Boone area. Not up to Applebees normal standards.

Unfortunately the service was not good for us. Never greeted by hostess, decided to sit at bar to eat, server went by said I’ll be with you soon and never came back. Another server just walked by never said a word. We left.

Late lunch. Ordered blackened Salmon Good. No broccoli. Several people were complaining. One couple left. I just ordered double green beans, on keto diet...no other alternative. Wish I would have ordered a double salad instead. 14 carbs out of my 20 carb allowance for the day was disheartening.
Food and service was great. Do not order a cocktail. If you stick to beer and wine.

Best Western Mountain Lodge
We had a party of 10 come in 08/10/25 with no reservation. We had to wait about 20 minutes, our server was Wendy. She was AMAZING. She was so nice, patient, kind to my grandkids. This woman was running the bar, washing dishes and being a waitress. She needs a HUGE bonus because she did ALL this with a smile and such a kind voice. I really hope the owners see this message.

We just got into Boone and went into Applebee’s to have dinner. The restaurant was practically empty, but we were told there would be a 12 minute wait because they were backed up. There were less than 20 people in the entire restaurant. We said we were leaving all they said was have a nice day they could care less about their customers and service will never go back.
