First time visiting Boone and we stopped here for lunch. There were 3 of us. We ordered chips and queso for an appetizer and the chips are a good quality and the queso was tasty. The side sald looked fresh and crisp and the steak tacos looked delicious. I had the chili and it was the best chili I've had in a long time - hearty and full of flavor and just the right amount of kick! I couldn't finish the bowl, so took home leftovers and I couldn't wait to get home...

As a Boone regular, Boone Saloon is always a favorite. The chips and queso were great, the fish sandwich was underwhelming, but the food here is generally quite good. The service was great and it's always a cool place to hang out.

The past week or so they’ve had a weird cap on the bar that just makes the atmosphere feel dead. It’s like a Wednesday crowd on a Saturday night cause they won’t let anyone in the door. Hoping this isn’t a new rule or something. Not worth it to go out when it’s just you and 25 other people. boone’s night scene doesn’t seem to be doing to hot atm.
