i’m from Charleston, SC and up here after Helene. I am purposely taking time to tell everybody that this place HANDS DOWN has the best burgers in Boone. I was hungry and my fried egg burger was perfect. it was plump, juicy, a good size and hot. Everyone’s food in our take out order was just delicious!

Great little dive bar on the edge of campus. We are regulars for trivia on Wednesday. The regulars at this bar skew a little older than others in the neighborhood.
Kid-friendliness: The bar gets a little salty after 7 pm... Leave the little kids at home.

They told me when I came back this is the old Murphys crowd. There might be a few but what I've seen is coked up college kids and tweakers high as a kite and horribly rude bartenders that don't know what the word "Smile" means. 3 times back there and half the bar is high on cocaine or meth and obvious drug deals going down in the bathroom even on a weekday. Food is also barely good enough to eat greasy fries that have been cooked in old grease. This place is nothing but a drug den with a few old timers you might recognize otherwise literally a bathroom coke dealing constant with hopped up college kids that wanna ramble on and start fights. I'm never going back. I know where the real locals are an they aren't here.

Went here for a graduation party. The staff was friendly and the food was served fast. The buffalo shrimp are huge!

Bartender literally ignored women. There was blood on a pool table from a broken bottle fight earlier in the night. But they left the pool table open, other patrons head to tell you not to use it and why. The other pool table was covered with a piece of plywood because a band was coming in later. So literally could only use one of the three pool tables. Food was ok.

Average bar with expensive pool!!! $2 for a pool table is high for a game. Service lacked as I waited 15 min for someone to get to me and the bar was not packed or full by any means. Drinks were a little light on the alcohol but that’s okay. Food was good!

I ordered from Boone Delivery to have some nice wings and a sandwich with my girl. Boone Delivery was great, perfect service. When the wings came though, I was horrified. 10 wings for $18 is pretty crazy. I thought, okay well it comes with 2 sauces, alright, might be worth it.Let me tell you, it wasn't. Hardly any sauce! Man if you're gonna be putting those prices on wings, you gotta have sauce. Also didn't even get one of the sauces requested. Maybe some wing sauces on the side would be a good idea!Then there's my girls sandwich. There was a hair in the sandwich that we identified as neither of ours. She also thought it was very salty.Super expensive, not great!
