Dirty bathrooms. Dingy overall. Customer service lacking. If a customer asks what something is the response isn’t “says it right there.” So maybe work on that. Especially if the coffee isn’t anything special. Won’t recommend to anyone

Favorite and best place to go in Boone. Very fair prices for high quality beans, and some of the best fresh cake, baked goods, soups, and coffee you can get in the South.

Great local Boone coffee shop located behind main street (a little hard to find).
Love the vibe. Old building with lots of character. A lot of seating but very popular with students and locals so sometimes hard to find a place to park your bottom.
The baked goods were excellent and I totally appreciated the vegan baked good options!!!!
So many tea and brew options. The espresso drinks were very good, the espresso roast was rich, lots of froth. My sister has an almond milk mocha and I had a delicious oatmilk mocha.
Many folks were studying or reading. The smells, the atmosphere, the low murmur of folks chatting made me want to hang all afternoon to chat with my sis, but we had a retreat waiting for us up the mountain so had to prematurely depart.
Highly recommended. I sometimes stop friendly looking folks on the street to find the best coffee shops in town, and this one came highly recommended. I agree!
I'll be back whenever I am in Boone!

Greet coffee and vibes.
Stopped here every morning during our stay at the Horton next door. Staff was helpful and coffee was great and fairly priced.
Good coffee with an attitude.
Real coffee shop, coffee roasted on. Premises, talented barista, hands on owner. Great smells.

It's the best in town, duh.
If you don’t have the appearance of someone with far-left politics expect to get rude/angry service. When I pay $5 for caffeine I like it made without prejudice.
I love the ambiance of this coffee shop! I would totally spend an afternoon here. The coffee was good, but a little bitter. My biggest complaint is the tops for the cold cups!! They suck!!! Change them please! I wasn't able to take a sip without either slurping or spilling the coffee.
They never disappoint and no matter how busy it is when you get there, they still get you serviced very fast.
Espresso News is a very cute place tucked into Howard St, quick walk from App State’s campus. Reading the reviews, this is a very popular place; however I was underwhelmed by the clutter, the sense that I was a burden to the staff when I walked in, and the iced mocha I ordered. I would go back and try again the next time I’m in town to give it a second chance. Every place has off days, so hoping it was that!
