We had very pleasant evening at The Gamekeeper . We were celebrating our 35 Wedding Anniversary. The restaurant had Happy Anniversary sign at our table and a complementary dessert, which was very good. All the food and specialty cocktails/beer very good. We would definitely recommend The Gamekeeper.

We visited two years ago, and this time was even more spectacular. The mixed grill provided a variety of small bites, featuring different options (such as Hungarian boar) that were not offered as entrees. The elk leg and beef tenderloin entrees were truly incredible, both delicious and elegantly plated.

We had a great experience at Gamekeeper. They have kids options, which aren't publicized but great as well. Food was phenomenal and they read the notes put into open table. It was my wife's birthday and all she wanted was a sunset view, which they accommodated. They knew it was a birthday as soon as e we drove up. Everything from the valet parking, to food, to view, and through all staff services was phenomenal. I can't speak highly enough about our experience.

Excellent experience. Summer, our waitress, was one of the most plesant and efficient servers that we have had in a long time. We have eaten here before and took friends for their first visit, food and experience exceeded expectation. You have set a bar that will be hard to top!

Wonderful experience! Had potato soup and consommé as starter. Partner had briskek; I had lamb as mains. Food was delicious. Only downside was we waited almost half an hour between being served first course and second! When we mentioned it to a server, the manager almost immediately uh at our table with apologies and assured us he would make it right. He did. Our wine was comped which we felt was more than fair for our issue. Recommend highly. We will return.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in NC. I’ve been a repeat customer since my Appstate college days. I love the adventurous menu, amazing cocktails, and extensive wine list. The mixed game grill appetizer, emu fillet, and bread pudding are my go-to choices, but everything is exceptional. The rustic ambiance is out of a storybook. I absolutely love this restaurant and I can’t wait for my next visit.
