I’m pretty picky and look for a cortado on the menu or take a look at their espresso machine to measure the expected quality of a coffee shop when traveling. This place did not disappoint. The cortado was perfect and the flavor of the bean was delicious. The cherry on top was the Kouign-amann pasty on the menu.

This was one of the best lattes and sandwiches I’ve ever had. Their coffee is so rich and smooth. We got the s’mores latte and the peppadew sandwich. Not to be dramatic but it was life changing.

Best coffee in Boone!! The avocado toast is also amazing with just the right amount of spice. My go to is the sweet bee latte which is sweet and just the right amount of honey. It’s also a great place to stop in to get some homework done. I would highly recommend Hatchet for a coffee stop in Boone, NC.

We stayed in Boone in July and it was nice to get a coffee in a place where wait is minimal and you can sit down. Most other places were overcrowded. The food was really good and the coffee was great. The service was attentive.
