Been going to Higher Grounds for 5 years or better and never thought to leave a review. What can I say, I love the place! Matt & Gloria are the best of people. Not your run of the mill by any means and are both just the kind of people that make anywhere their at, a great place ! I roast a different blend of theirs each morning at home and when I have time off, I stop in for a ice vanilla latte ( light ice, lol) and they have it ready and waiting by the time I get to the counter...
Higher Grounds is definitely a Boone classic! The service is always spectacular, and for that specifically, I highly recommend. There are a few things that could definitely be improved in terms of quality of drinks (i.e. I ordered black coffee, and the coffee was lukewarm and more than likely not made within the hour). The atmosphere is quaint and homey, but it could definitely use a few updates (i.e. the tops for a lot of the coffee jars for the beans by mass are missing/broken,...
Again, I always look for locally owned coffee shops to support small businesses as well as experience different coffees.
Everything this was excellent here, they went out of their way to make me a special request drink. The coffee flavor is fresh and smooth. I wil revisit next time on boone!
