Went for my son’s birthday in November and had a horrible experience. Service took forever even though I didn’t really see that many customers for it to be so bad. I believe there may have only been 1 server, who was honestly very nice and I don’t hold my experience against her. The biggest issue was from the kitchen. Nearly half our food was undercooked or had been done so long before it came to us that it was actually cold like it had been refrigerated. My niece’s hamburger was completely raw in the middle, not a little pink - RAW. Two of us got homemade chips that were floppy and cold, not cooked through somehow - twice. I hate complaining, but I did request a second batch which was the same as the first except they were warm. My other two niece’s baked mac and cheese dishes were cold like they had been in the fridge. They also gave my mom and sister in law the wrong sandwiches. We only had three out of 10 dishes that were correct and edible. Sucks because we all really loved Macado’s and have been eating here for several years. It seems like the people around us were also having issues as I saw several plates going back and forth. I wish I was being nit-picky and dramatic, but I won’t be going back.

i LOVE this place. i came to boone for a ski trip and this was abt 15 mins away from ski resort, and they had bang bang shrimp while i was craving it , so i came. The food here FIRE. literally so good. price is good, server was nice, we got our food and drinks quick. atmosphere so cute and comical. good portions for the food. best bar/restaurant i’ve ever been to, i don’t understand how this isn’t a 5 star place on here. came here 3/3 days i was in boone.

***HEALTH HAZARD***
!!DO NOT GO HERE!!

This place should be shut down. Came here last week with my family. The server told us that the owner doesn’t believe in a dishwasher so every time she goes to the kitchen she is washing dirty dishes. Disgusting.

There was apparently only 1 cook when we went and 1 server. The food took over an hour and then it was cold.

I also overheard a employee say that the manager there was (I assume in the kitchen) WAS SICK WITH A FEVER. Thankfully none of my family got sick. The health department needs to come visit this place asap.

I felt bad for the young girls working there. The owners should be ashamed.

Went here with my Girlfriend and Her family, we were seated quickly but that’s where the good part ends, Not only did we have to ask 4 times for the ranch we ordered but one of our sides was completely wrong and the waitress didn’t even come back for us to be able to change it. All the tables around us were dirty and the staff seemed to avoid our table, mind you we were only 2 other tables in the building with people, also as of writing this I asked for 1 cinnamon roll 15 minutes ago and have yet to see it.

Went here with my boyfriend, and close family, we didn’t wait long to be seated. Tables around us never got cleaned off the whole time we were there. Asked for two ranch’s from our waitress and after several minutes she never came,( mind you they were not busy at all). After asking several other waitresses we finally got them. And one of the sides were wrong but are waitress never came back to check on us till it was time to pay.

Kayla sat me and took my drink order immediately even though it was very busy. The cocktail was sublime and the Babe Ruth was so good I ordered more pickles. I’ve been in hospitality for 45 years and was very impressed that Kayla didn’t stand still for a moment. She was working the bar, serving tables and seating people non stop. I asked her about the Weed beer and she told me all about it and then poured a pint with perfect foam. Thanks!!!

take the rating as a WARNING. we wanted to try out this place regardless of the 3.8 star review, but you’d be better off going to a different sports bar. I get that this place can categorizes itself as a “sports bar“ but some of their TVs don’t even play sports??
The biggest problem with this place is the food AND the service. We went in on a Sunday where they have a special of 39c wings, good deal… bad wings. I don’t mind having to wait for food (especially since we had a group of 7), BUT ALL of our food was cold. Like it had been sitting out for a good while. I can only blame it on the server because she seemed to be absent and unattentive. The table next to us had an absolutely amazing server, but we just got the short end of the stick I guess. Most of our drinks went out by the time we even saw her again, and I had to go TO THE BAR to get a refill. Picture attached will show just how long the wings sat there before they got to our table. Definitely super disappointed and highly do not recommend this place.

The visit this Saturday was a disaster; they never came to our table and we had to leave.

Macado’s in the App Mountains is amazing! The food is always fresh and packed with flavor, and the menu has tons of great options. The sandwiches are huge and delicious, and everything comes out fast and hot. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome every time. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, making it a perfect spot to eat. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Macado’s is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, with a cool, unique vibe that makes it a great place to eat. The menu has a huge variety, so there’s something for everyone, and everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The sandwiches are loaded, the fries are crispy, and the portions are very generous. On top of that, the staff is friendly, fast, and always makes sure you’re taken care of. Whether you’re going with friends or family, Macado’s is a fantastic spot that never disappoints. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We stopped in for a quick meal before graduation at app state. Our waitress was extremely attentive. I wish I could remember her name. The food was outstanding, and was a large enough portion that we had enough for dinner too. We never had to wait for a refill, a box, or the check. Next time we go, we'll make sure to have some extra time to hang out!

Really good food and drinks everything we’ve been here. Service is good even on busy game day weekends. The only drawback is the men’s bathroom by the bar, the door is difficult to lock and the plumbing isn’t always working.

i never leave reviews let alone bad reviews but this was the most insane restaurant experience i have ever encountered. as someone who worked in the restaurant industry for at least 5 years and was a bartender, this place needs to be shut down. keep in mind this whole time that we were the only table for most of our time here - a total of maybe 4 other tables in and out our whole time there. we waited at least 10 minutes to even be greeted at our table. waited around 30-40 minutes for our appetizers and even longer for our food. if it was busy or even steady i would understand but it was DEAD. our drinks stayed empty basically the whole time. food came out cold, at most some items almost warm. after we got our food we got checked up on once and she would basically run away from our table like she was scared lol. the most INSANE part that had me absolutely mind boggled is that there was absolutely NO server or any worker seen for at LEAST 20 minutes- my kids were thirsty and so were the rest of us. so as someone who was a server and a bartender i took it upon myself to fill up our drinks myself. someone FINALLY saw me and the bartender came over and was not happy with US. imagine how we felt. she LITERALLY said that next time we need something to WALK AROUND THE RESTAURANT and look for a server. i about laughed in her stupid face. that’s the most insane thing i’ve ever heard in the service industry. as a bartender you should NEVER leave the bar empty. any GOOD bartender knows that. there’s a cash drawer and alcohol back that that can be stolen. a dog would’ve done a better job than they have. it’s obvious why it was completely empty in there. if the owners/managers want to keep that store open it would be there smartest thing to get new servers and a new bartender. completely embarrassing for that location.
