3 times a year I come to Boone area with a great group of friends, we have been doing this for years. We discovered Mike's about 4 years ago and what a hidden gem. First off, I am not a seafood eater, so the first time there I was not sure what to expect, boy was I surprised.
Some of the best hush puppies & Onion rings I've ever eaten, 3 beef options, my steak was ordered blackened and was cooked to perfection, also ordered a wonderful salad with homemade dressing. The highlight was probably the BEST server I've ever experienced , ROBIN. She was so efficient, and thorough she knew the menu inside and out and repeated our choices, so there would not be any errors. She checked on us often and refilled our drinks often. As great as the food was, Robin's, service was even better.
Kitchen was slower than normal was the only complaint.
Dont' miss out on this hidden gem..and ask for Robin, you will jeep coming back.

Every dish was delivered with a smile, and she checked in just the right amount, ensuring we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, but Venus sets a high bar. Highly recommend Mike’s Inland Seafood, and be sure to ask for Venus – she’s the best!
Nothing is seasoned , we got the calabash shrimp fried and only thing u could taste was batter , the coleslaw was the worst I ever had , also got the shrimp appetizer and would.not recommended that either not fresh , only thing that was good was the hush puppies . We walked away with full plates lastnight .
The best seafood hands down! The absolute freshest and best tasting that’s not water front. You would never know you’re not sitting on the docks in the outer banks. Definitely a hidden gem! Service was top notch and the staff went above and beyond!

Excellent sea food far from the coast! I had the seafood platter to sample everything and it was all great. Especially the scallops. The complementary hush puppies were some of the best I've had in NC.
Absolutely the best seafood in the area. The restaurant is clean, the staff is courteous and the atmosphere is great. The Hush Puppies are like wonderfully little clouds of Heaven and kept coming at no charge. The portions are more than plentiful and delicious. We were a party of five on a Saturday for lunch and everything was perfect. I had the clam strips and have not had them this good since Howard Johnsons closed up. My wife had a Cod sandwich which must have been near 1/2 pound of filet. Will definitely be our go to place for a long time.

Awesome, and I am not one for giving Good Reviews I am from Florida, and Love Great Local Seafood On a chance I ended up at Mikes 2 times so far, and have been WOW'ed For me, it just wasn't Good, or Great, but Awesome We've had; Raw Oysters - Big and Plump shucked on the Lids!! Cod Nuggets for lunch - large and lightly breaded Large Cod Fillets Calabash Shrimp - Light & Crisp ... Great Coleslaw, Seasoned Fries, Baked Potatoes .... Round 3 coming Sooooon!!!
