I went with my friends on Christmas Eve, and it was very crowded. We waited about 45–50 minutes to be seated. I ordered the lamb korma, but it wasn’t that good. I eat a lot of Indian food, and this dish felt lacking in spices. Since it was Christmas Eve and extremely busy, I wouldn’t fully judge the food quality. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad, just not what I was expecting.

Amazing…a personal favorite for dining out. Great food. Attentive service. Solid drink/wine menu. Can’t wait for the new Chai & Chutney to open.

I took a To-go tray of gulab jamun. Such poor packing , it was put in a double tray but no wrapping of any kind. I made sure to drive real careful but it still leaked a lot of destroyed by cars mats. If you’re ever getting any tray of food from this place, make sure you check it, their packing team is quite incompetent.
On a side note, the samosas while quite magical, way too good. Just disappointed with the way they handled the call and accused us of rash driving instead of accepting poor packing standards.
That being said, I’d still wanna go back to this restaurant. Hope they can change their catering methods.

Mixed feelings.
My family and I tried this place for the first time not long ago and the overall experience for us was weird. Our waiter (who came off confident, cocky and unfriendly) took our drink orders after it took 10 minutes to finally ask us. We asked for lemons for our water and tea. We received none. Had to ask someone else for them. Then some woman came to our table and took our plates. Wasn’t certain why, but she just grabbed them up and removed them without us telling her she could. Then we finally get to order and the waiter doesn’t write a single thing down even though there were 5 of us. My dad and I asked for cilantro to be put our dishes butter chik makhni (butter chicken). Neither one of us received that. We order the Peshwari and Garlic Naan, and then a basket of the assorted bread basket for my mother-in-law. All of the bread was super black on the bottom and we didn’t receive the assortment of bread that we expected from the assorted bread basket. We ended up with the exact same bread (aside from the garlic) we ordered separately instead of what it was supposed to come with (plain, garlic and aloo). The garlic didn’t have much flavor and lacked toppings that is supposed to come on it no matter where you order it from. All of the bread wasn’t that great! My butter chicken was a 7/10 because the chicken was somewhat dry. My dads fish curry was amazing, though. My mother-in-law ordered the exact same thing as I did and she said it was pretty good. My husband ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and he didn’t like it at all. He said it had no taste. Was just bland. That’s the first time he’s ever disliked that dish as he always orders it no matter which Indian restaurant we go to.
Our waiter basically kept disappearing so we had to keep asking for more drinks and things we didn’t receive from waiters who could BARELY speak any English. I will say that they did keep our drinks full the entire time and they were trying to help us even though they could barely understand us.
Overall.. the service was all over the place, but I maybe wouldn’t mind going back to eat what my dad ordered. I just wouldn’t get the bread and that is the best part. Maybe it was just one of those days. Who knows. I just wish we had a better experience even though it wasn’t the worst experience.

I live in Banner Elk and don't mind traveling to Boone one bit to have some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Why someone would give this restaurant a 4.7 is beyond me. It's a 5 five again and again and again. Authentic food, impeccable service and a newly remodeled atmosphere. The owners are always on staff and never falter. Every time my family comes in that's one of the places we go. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

This place is awesome. Menu is fantastic, curries are on point. Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I definitely recommend the lunch menu. My wife is obsessed with the garlic Naan. The vibe is great, not sure about peak wait times as I usually order to go. Staff are all pretty friendly.
