Small place with welcoming staff. Burgers were tasty, well cooked, and nicely adorned. The chili on the Cackalacky burger was definitely not from a can. Will definitely return and try their other menu items.

Great food, very chill vibe. We have been a couple of times now and really like it. The reason I gave it 3 overall stars is I had to wait a long time for the bathroom. They have two single bathrooms. Once the one opened up more than one person came out and said they were having a pow wow. Really? And one was a staff member. That was just rediculous to me.

Something about the nachos tasted super off. Like super bad taste and had me and my friend regretting our choice in getting them. I get it’s a busy Friday night, but 40mins for chips and salsa that comes out of a bag and jar is ridiculous. Definitely won’t be returning.

Went at dinner on a Wednesday. Very brisk business, lots of takeout being prepared. Perhaps the best wings we've had in years, and very reasonably priced. Great service from Haillie on just her second shift. A few more beers could be added to the menu.

We stopped in New River Grill recently in search of a good fried snack and cold beers. We weren't disappointed!
We sat at the bar, and were promptly greeted by the bartender. Two of us each ordered beers, and decided to split 8 wings in the medium buffalo sauce and an order of the fried pickle chips. The bartender was great, and quickly got our beers. A short time later, we had our food. There's nothing particularly songs were good, as were the pickle chips, though the breading on the pickle chips was a bit on the heavy side.
There's nothing particularly upscale or fancy about the decor or the menu, but if you're in search of a cold beer and a burger or wings, New River Grill is a great choice.

If you have high blood pressure stay away. The food is almost to salty to eat. When the staff was informed of this nothing was done. Then my husband's chicken tasted bad and he could not eat it either and again staff done nothing. Be sure you follow up on your order as the wait staff was a little confused. The music is extremely loud and seating is limited.

I have not found a meal that I've really enjoyed here, yet. The taco salad, which is perpetually one of their specials, is disappointing. The meat, as far as I can tell, is merely a burger patty chopped up. There is no taco flavor. Basically, it's a large side salad with the burger on top. My friends say the burgers and tuna sandwich are good. The service is slow, but I think they're really understaffed. The wait people are always friendly, though. The music is too loud to have an easy conversation unless you sit outside. And, speaking of outside, the chairs outside are HORRIBLE. They are undoubtedly THE most uncomfortable chairs to sit on. I think I'd rather sit on the ground. I've come here more times than I'd like to admit because my friends keep coming. We always complain about the issues I've listed, but still come back. Not anymore. If my friends want to come here, I'm gonna pass. They're usually pretty busy, but I don't know why. I must be ordering the wrong thing.

Ava was amazing! All of the staff were actually! Some of the best wings we’ve had so far & their fries are one of a kind and DELICIOUS. House made sauces for the win also! Definitely worth making another day trip up the mountain!

Ordered food to go. Was missing part of order. Cheeseburger had cole slaw on it, wasn't supposed to be on there. Chicken sandwich had 1 tender on it, so it was mostly empty bun. Won't return.
