Possibly the worst experience I've had at a food establishment. Service was horrible, food was subpar at best and felt more like I was at a frat party with all the yelling and all going on. Note it was 430pm on a Sunday. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy .

I'm sure our experience was just a one time thing. There is so much potential here! The mac and cheeze bites are to die for!!! The main food, when we finally got it however, was unfortunately quite cold. The wild rice specifically was very cold and that's probably why it wasn't very good? The tuna steak was delicious, crispy, and well sauced though! The black and blue burger was good with the exception of too much onion (which is just preference) and also being cold for about half of it. The reason I gave a 3 stars on service was because the lovely server may have just been overworked? They weren't very attentive, didn't know much about the menu, and didn't really follow up. Lastly, like I mentioned this place has the potential to be amazing it just needs a little tweaking, some time in my opinion, and maybe more staff or cooks? The food would probably be absolutely amazing if the right temperature like the mac and cheese bites!

This place is awesome! Great place to hang in Boone in a land of overpriced tourist traps. Literally the best chicken wings in Boone. The crew is friendly and fast. I highly recommend this place. Raft guide recommended! Good job team New River Grill!
Had such high hopes for this place. Do not eat here if you have any sort of dietary restriction or food allergy. They had no idea of what allergens were in the dishes offered. After stressing how important it was that I get a salad with no croutons (celiac) I received a salad with a ton of croutons. They offered to remake it but simply removed the croutons in the kitchen because I found bits and pieces of them all through the dish. Lucky I saw them and my allergic response was controllable. The same mistake could be incredibly harmful for someone with a more serious allergy. Manager was indifferent and unapologetic. We’ll never go here again.

Party of 7. We started with Mac and Cheese bites. Ok, but kinda had a freezer burnt taste in my opinion. Most people here look to be drinking not eating. The server struggled to take our order. Did not know when we asked for sweet-n-low/pink sweetener. Deer in headlights. Also it is freezing in here with fans going so wear layers to be prepared. Food came out. Typical bar food. No standouts. I got soup/salad with chicken added. No chicken so they took my salad back and added it. The Hubby got soul/salad and the chili did not have sour cream like stating on the menu. It almost seems like it was his first day? We made it through the meal. Do not recommend. Jersey Mike's is next door.

Our last 2 experiences were not good! The food is good but the service is horrible. Last night we were there with a group and the waitress took the food order for half the table and walked away. I had to flag her down to ask her to take the rest of the order. Not all our food came out. 2 meals didn't come out until the rest of us were done. Managers!! You have to walk around the dining room and check on your customers. A little service recovery would mean less bad comments!!
