Loved the mother daughter weekend R&R all inclusive retreat. We enjoyed yoga, meditation, massages and short hikes. Food was good. Room was nice and clean but a little warm (no AC). Only complaint is the yoga equipment room smelled bad, like dirty socks. Yoga mats, pillows and seat backs were noticeably dirty and no one wiped them down after use. It was a major turn off and hard to overcome with meditation but we tried. I came home with Covid.

An exceptional hidden gem in Boone. I've been coming here for years and can't believe I've just found The Art of Living. Wonderful yoga class in a calm and truly lovely surrounding, followed by a tasty, healthy vegan buffet. They even have a great little store for books, clothing and more. Friendly staff and overall lovely experience. Highly recommended.

This R&R retreat was a great getaway. Over a couple days, had multiple yoga and meditation sessions, a forest walk, tasty meals, two rainbows, and a massage. Met nice folks, including the lovely members of the staff.

I really wanted to love this place, and at first glance, I did, but as time went on it was just okay. The hotel buildinf felt like a college dorm, with nicer rooms. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was cool enough with the windows open to not miss the A/C. The vegan food was good but became repetitive by lunch on day 2. The breathwork was the best part of the entire weekend. Other than that, I did not learn anything earth shattering about attaining happiness. It was basically what you read or experience in any self help book or seminar. The classes were slow and drawn out, as if to fill up the weekend. It was difficult for some people to sit on the floor the entire class, when it was so long. I felt like I was always anticipating something amazing to occur, that never happened. The spa was completely booked, when I was finally able to get someone on the phone 1 week prior to our weekend. I had called, emailed without response and chatted online earlier and was told to call back when they opened on Wednesday. We couldn't schedule any treatements during our long mid day break. I also did not hear anyone from our program mentioning going to the spa. We were told that on Sunday we would be learning the final piece of the meditation and breathing skills, that we had been working on. In reality, we just repeated the exact skills again and then it started to feel like a sales presentation to help grow the organization. At 1pm it literally just ended. It was an awkwardness of everyone in the room looking around for instruction and then saying goodbye and walking out. It's difficult to fully explain the problem, but the best I can say is that it felt disorganized or not well planned. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. It was a nice escape from busy life for a weekend, but I don't think I would spend the money to do it again.

The Art Of Living Retreat Center is a refuge in a world that grows warmer and more hectic every day. I am so grateful that I found this utopian mountainside retreat center where I was helped to slow down, breath, and experience the natural beauty abounding around me. Allowing me to become centered once again. If you desire to take a transformative leap in your self awareness, if you desire to feel love in all daily interactions. Then this place with their tasty vegetarian meals, yoga and mediation classes, Happiness Retreats, Silent Retreats and other spirit forward offerings will help you expedite your desires. I am so grateful to the staff and management for an experience that changed my life forever. Thank you Art Of Loving Retreat Center is what I believe to be the solution to our worlds problems.

Attended a 3-day silence & meditation retreat. Expectations fulfilled and zero disappointment. Great instructors during our sessions, and the vegetarian food was really standout. Scenery is spectacular, given the location, and the hiking trails are lovely.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night Relaxation retreat. My goal was to unplug from the hustle of work, daily life, and social media and I definitely accomplished that. We stayed in an apartment which I highly recommend. These are right next to the dining area which is very convenient. We had an amazing view of the mountains (see photos), balcony, plus a kitchenette, laundry if needed, living room, and bedroom. The R&R retreat offers access to many classes without an extra fee. We took several classes on Ayurveda which was fascinating and inspired us to make some changes in our lives. The instructors are knowledgeable and deeply passionate about Ayurveda. We were both so pleased that the food was delicious! Fresh and expertly prepared. Soups, tofu, vegan desserts, seasoned veggies, yum! We both received massages, but I think I would forego this next time.

I'm here for the Happiness Retreat & was nervous that the food would be really healthy, but bland. I was so wrong! Every meal has been flavorful & nourishing & almost exclusively vegan. I rarely saw anything with cheese, & they always had a vegan counterpart. I usually put salt & pepper on everything, but nothing needed it! Dessert is only offered at dinner & worth the wait from a peach like cobbler to cheesecake. I can't wait to return!!!

Varied and well prepared vegan dishes at every meal. Beautiful setting. Extremely nice staff. Near enough to town for essentials, if needed, like CVS or charging electric car. Close to gorgeous golf course. Really enjoyed my time at Art of Living retreat.
