We decided to stop here for lunch, first time here, while visiting Boone. Rooted on King has a relaxing, calm and positive engery.
We loved the brick wall where we sat. Even the one bathroom had brick showing and really liked the sink and dresser/bottom of a hutch?
We were welcomed in by Sandra. She was very friendly and helpful! She explained how to order our food.
We looked over the menu and I ordered the chicken pesto panini. My daughter ordered the balsamic berry grilled cheese. We also received a side of microgreens. It did take a while to get our food, as they were busy, but it was worth the wait! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious!!!
Shout out to Chaya and Vincent who took our order and made our sandwiches. They were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful! You can tell that they love working there. They had great positive engery! If you are visiting Boone, we highly recommend Rooted on King!

Can’t skip any weekdays without visiting here. Healthy and delicious choices with beautiful decorations. The place has a lot of things to explore including colorful seating areas, food and drink menus. Masala chai makes me my day happy and budda belly bowl makes my day stronger. So far my favorite place in Boone.

Food is amazing, but be prepared to wait a ridiculously long time. They accept phone orders even when the line in the shop is backed up. I had to leave without my food last time because after waiting 30 minutes, I had to get back to work. If you don't have to be anywhere, it's worth it. The trail cookies are magic.

This spot is an oasis. It’s tucked away on the third floor so you feel like you’ve left the hustle of the main st. Everything is made vegan or can be made vegan by asking. They use a lot of local produce which you can taste because it all tastes so fresh and the menu is super creative! Definitely get one of the bowls. They don’t skimp on the good stuff like avocado and sauce (which are house made and also vegan) LOTS OF OPTIONS! It’s my favorite place in Boone.

Found this hidden gem in Boone and so glad we decided to go! Not on trip advisor though it should be. Super friendly staff and the food was delicious! Definitely give it a try! Oh and the Coconut Careot Ginger soup was some of the best I’ve had!

I ate at Rooted Cafe for the first time today since I’m usually not in the area until after they close. I got the rooted bowl with walnut chorizo and a masala chai. It was the best bowl I’ve ever had and surprisingly filling. Each ingredient was so flavorful I could have eaten it without the sauce (which was delicious also).
The chai was so good and they served it with a ginger cookie.

We had coffee here today (twice), and it was delicious! This is such a cute shop, and the people who work here are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend trying!

Literally just finished my food and had to immediately write this- we ordered the Rooted Bowl w/tofu, Pura Vida Bowl w/tofu, cauliflower garlic soup (special), and trail cookies. All vegan and all OUTSTANDING. I ate my bowl so fast I have a food baby. WORTH IT
