Long time customer giving up on subway in Boone. My biggest complaint is if you don’t give the employees a tip added on to the sale complete attitude change. If I got exceptional service, I would possibly give a tip even though I don’t understand why someone needs tipped for doing the job they’re paid hourly to do. If the business is promising you tips because they under pay you it is a joke of a professional run business to start with. Most of the time when I order a sub also at the 421 location I barely get enough lettuce on the sub to cover the meat when you spend $20 for a sub I shouldn’t have to ask for extra and I don’t wanna ask just be friendly and go on with my day.

I ordered on my subway app like I always do and I only go to this location because it is the cleanest store in Boone and the best customer service. Somehow my app got changed to Wilkesboro location and I didn’t realize it so I went in to pick up my order and they said they didn’t have an order for me. The manager Hannah came and looked at my phone and she told me that my order went to the Wilkesboro location. I called the Wilkesboro store to cancel my order and they told me they couldn’t cancel my order. Hannah overheard me on the phone and came over and ask me if she could speak to the person I was talking to. I don’t know what she said but she gave me my phone back and said that they would be canceling the order shortly and I would be getting a refund in the next few days. If I didn’t to let her know and she would make sure I did. She told me to get in line and I could place my order again. While I was in line I got a message saying my order was canceled and I got a full refund. While I was in line I watched Hannah and her other employees and she took such great care of every single customer with great care. She was so sweet and kind to each person. She took the time to make sure they were getting first class service. Her employees were wonderful as well. They were very nice and friendly and helpful. They were all working as a team helping each other while making sure that the customers were getting what they wanted in a timely manner. They were talking with their customers and joking around with some of the customers. It was very busy while I was in there but they didn’t seem to get frustrated at all and handled everything very well.
I am so grateful to Hannah who helped me out with my situation. This happened on Friday, September 25, 2025 around 12.30pm. This team of employees need to be recognized for their awesome service and hard work. Hannah is a great manager who takes very good care of the customer because she genuinely cared about my situation and she got it fixed quickly.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I will always stay loyal to this store because of its customer service and it is always clean. If you ever see anything wrong or the bathroom needs attention you just let them know and they are on top of it.
I hope their boss knows just what a great group of employees they have working there. Thanks again Hannah for helping me!

This Subway is the only store I will go to in town because it is clean and the employees are awesome. I accidentally ordered through my app and somehow the location got changed to Wilkesboro and when I went to get my subs they didn’t have them. The manager Hannah looked at my phone and told me what was wrong so I called the Wilkesboro store and ask them to cancel the order and they told me they couldn’t cancel it. Hannah overheard my conversation and she came over and asked to speak to them about the situation and whatever she said it worked because she told me they would be giving me a refund. Two minutes later I got a message saying they canceled my order and they refunded me also. I got in line and placed my order again. I watched Hannah with other customers and she was so sweet and kind to every single customer. She apologized to me for the problem I had. I noticed the other employees were just as friendly and polite and they all were super fast. This is what a great business is looks like. Great team work and an awesome manager Hannah helped me out when she didn’t have to. I will always stay loyal to this store. Thank you guys so much for your hard work and great service.

The rudest people you will ever find at a subway.
I put a pickup order in at 10am scheduled for pickup at 1pm. Upon my wife arriving at 1pm, the sub is not ready and she has to wait behind 2 walk through customers. When my wife brought me the sub LITERALLY EVERYTHING WAS WRONG! The only thing right was mayonnaise. Poorest performance I have ever seen from a subway in my life!

Ordered a sub on-line. Travesty! I ordered a Cold Cut Combo, thinking I was getting ham, salami, and turkey, it's turkey based meat that is basically turkey bologna. Next, I ordered it toasted(nope, no toasty), with spinach(didn't get it), tomatoes, cucumbers(nope, not on it), black olives LESS(got more had to scrape some off), onions(wasn't on it), Smashed avocado(nope, not on it & you pay a $1 more for this), salt and pepper less( it had so much salt is was almost inedible) I had chose this subway because it was close to work, WON'T DO THAT AGAIN. I did call the restaurant and the words were... OH, sorry, I might be able to do something for you. What, give me a cookie? If I had had an allergy and requested that something be substitued...can you imagine? Epipen! Terrible experience.
Sweet kids working. Please train them to change their gloves. I watched the young man ring people up then go make sandwiches with the same gloves on. I actually had to ask him to change his gloves before making my food.
OMG OMG OMG DARA is a 10/10 worker she makes the best subs and you can tell that she handles them with care. I have never had a better subway experience. I am often in a regular at this establishment and I always hope and pray that Dara is my sandwich artist, she handles my sandwich with care and makes it with love. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give this girl raise.

I was in line this lady order a big order, they attended her I was next, then another lady, then after her another lady, there was 3 workers, female and two males, when I was my turn one male employee skipped me and attended the beautiful lady next to me she got one thing, alright no problem they skip me. The female got my subs put it in oven, the lady next to me didn't put hers in the oven so he skip's me again and finish off the other lady order, one was alright but two times just made me feel like I was not existing person. At least put a sign that you will be skipped in line, I'm female but look tomboy. Thanks for the other two employees, might not return to this location. It hurt more cause I'm always insecure about my self I cut my hair cause I want to lose weight and grow it back long and stop cutting it, I might be another person on the internet but it hurts when you see two beautiful women skip you in line and you feel like your not worth of being treated the same, thanks for reading have a wonderful day or night.

Another visit to see if any improvements had taken place. NO, this place looks more run down and everyone on duty just stares at their phones. Run by lazy college students with zero standards all the way up to the area manager who happens to be very rude over the phone. Want a decent sandwich, Jimmy John’s has you covered…

Ordered a footlong buffalo toasted and a veggie footlong untoasted with all veggies uncut.Got there after ordering online had to make my own drink and grab my own bag of chips. I was told that's how all to go orders are. I'm a chef and have never thought if I ordered a to go order id have to grab my own chips and drink. Mc ds and Bojangles and Burger King doesn't do that I don't have to park my car after going through a drive through just to get out make my own drink and grab my fries. Why bother with to-goes? Do you do you do the same for delivery drivers? Footlong buffalo was made right but wasn't toasted. I asked for extra veggies they left out onions banana peppers and oregano it said ALL VEGGIES + s&p and oregano. Buffalo chicken is either supposed to be toasted or put in a microwave or toasted on the sandwich itself. They just put cold meat on my sandwich and called it a day.They were not busy it was an easy ticket, and they literally have one job and that is to make sandwiches. It's even easier if you have the ticket in front of you with directions written on it. No excuses. Just plain laziness. Don't order for dinner this place is great for lunch and breakfast no complaints but there is something wrong with the dinner staff. By the way subway employees get paid up to 16 an hour at this location to make and mess up your to go sandwich's its best just to walk in..
