This Mexican restaurant in Boone serves up the usual favorites—tacos, burritos, enchiladas—done well but without much to set it apart. The food is solid and consistent, with fresh ingredients and good portions, but nothing particularly memorable or unique. I found the food to lack the seasoning I'm accustomed to in these types of establishments.
Service was friendly and efficient, which made the experience pleasant overall.
If you’re in the area and just want a reliable spot for classic Mexican dishes, this is a good choice, but don’t expect anything out of the ordinary.

Lo mejor de la zona, auténtico. If you are not a big eater plan on a to-go box.

Ordered chicken tacos with cilantro, onion and lime, service was fantastic and helpful but the food had to be thrown away; it was that bad! At best the chicken was skin, lips, and something under the tail feathers that typically isn’t served in American Mexican restaurants. Awful. 16$ in the trash.

Excellent tacos. The Tacos Al Pastor are especially good (pork and pineapple). ACP is also a winner. Try the arroz con queso as a side.

Absolutely fantastic food, but the worst customer service and I got charged 5$ extra then the menu price. I got a burrito Togo that was 13.49 on their menu (uploaded 3 days ago) but when I showed up they asked for 20$ I was surprised but just paid because I thought I had misread. I go look back at the menu and it was in fact 13.49, so I called to ask why it was more expensive and they told me they updated their prices just 3 days ago. I looked on DoorDash too and the prices were still the same. They supposedly raised there prices but did not update it anywhere, not even their physical menus. They also neglected to tell me this until they were holding out their hand for the money.

I never leave reviews— but this was exceptionally bad. The only good part of my experience was the chips and salsa. The staff sat on their phones in the corner, never refilled our drinks, and the tacos were dry and honestly just bad.
We enjoyed our lunch here. Service was great. Very friendly staff. Food tasted great.
Was authentic and fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant. In this little town it’s nice to enjoy fresh and delicious food.
I would give it a 5 star review if they had margaritas. Food was great service was amazing.
Love this place!!!
Fresh, delicious, and quick. Excellent menu selections. We even asked if they had a much hotter picante sauce, and they did. We were visiting relatives near Boone area and dropped in. We're from Texas and noticed that most Mex restaurants are more bland vs. spicey in this area of the country, we were visiting Mountain City. I'm glad we found this place. We'll come back again next time we're up in this area. Promise. Great experience and time was between lunch and dinner. Hasta' Luego!
