I can honestly say that Taqueria La Monarca is one of the best taco spots I have been to in a long time. On my visit, I ordered a birria taco while my friends went for burritos. The moment our food arrived, the incredible aroma filled the air... it smelled so good that I didn’t even get a chance to snap a picture before we all dug in. (The photo I’m sharing is of our empty plates, which says it all.)
You know you’re having a great meal when the whole table goes silent and everyone is just focused on enjoying their food. That was exactly the vibe here. The birria taco was rich, tender, and packed with flavor, perfectly paired with the spicy red salsa from their toppings and salsa bar, which I highly recommend. Tacos came out super fast, the side of beans and rice were only $3 but huge. Their large horchata was enormous. Their hot sauces from their toppings bar were all fantastic and spicy!

We (family of 5) had a great experience here! We traveled from Charlotte and ordered to go. We got a large burrito and 2 of: tacos Al pastor, chorizo, asada, lengua, and carnitas. Got orchata (which is always big cup!) and popsicle. All of this was 55$ which is amazing! (compared to a dinner which was less food and more expensive 🤦🏻♀️ )
